Weird reactions. Need help.

I recently tested a friends batch of molly because i told him it looked sketchy compared to what i pickup. It was a white powder with a lot in a capsule (and it was very cheap per cap) so i figured it was mephedrone, methylone, or mdma cut to shit. I usually can scrape off a tiny bit of my rocks and i get a very strong/quick reaction to all 3 reagents (mecke, marquis, simons). This time i used a lot of powder (~10-15mg per reagent) figuring it was cut with inactive to make it look filled. Results:

Marquis: red to Dark blood red to dark purple to black over 15 seconds. Kinda watery compared to good MDMA tests.
Mecke: bright green to dark green to dark blue over 15 seconds. Again, Kinda watery comparatively.
Simons: Zero reaction what so ever

He said they gave him a rolling sensation but had a lot more jaw clenching than usual (hes tried my real MDMA before). I've had multiple guesses but kinda ruled them out. Any one have any idea?

but doesn't mephedrone react to simons, and give an almost clear reaction to both mecke and marquis?

My best guess is 2C-I cut to shit with inactive to fill up a capsule. That would explain increase jaw clenching and very slight "trippyness" that he was talking about.
