One of my friends is Iranian and he said it was common for people in his country to abuse a combination of Prozac (fluoxetine) and something that I'd never heard of called "chlorox-something-something". Has anyone else heard of this? I wasn't aware that you could combine Prozac with anything and get something enjoyable. He stated the effects were similar to MDMA.

Could the fluoxetine be in attempt to reduce hyperthermia/ neurotoxicity from whatever the drug is?

I'm gonna kick this to ADD (;) ) since it's not getting many responses here...

Lol, I can't understand why people are suggesting that a SSRI/benzo combination would result into a MDMA-like feeling. It's actually common practice to treat depression + anxiety with this combo. I myself have been on a similar cocktail (Zoloft/Valium) for years and years and trust me there's nothing even remotly MDMA resembling about it.

It's obviously something else than Librium. Please do not speculate this any further.

clortermine seems to be rarely prescribed, chlorphentermine seems likely enough, clofenciclan is nonsensical, since it doesn't appear to be in production anywhere, unless Iran is the new hotbed of RCs.

so, money on chlorphentermine then librium

It couldn't be the neurotoxic p-chloroamphetamine, could it? Perhaps the SSRI is used in an attempt to reduce toxicity... Still, I wouldn't want that shit anywhere near my neurons....

Or perhaps they are stacking it with chlorpheniramine for some non-drowsy allergy relief...

Chlorphenteramine being a (fairly) selective serotonin releaser, I can't see it being useful in combination with a SSRI which should logically block effects... Maybe it is chlordiazepoxide after all. Some people compare BZP and TFMPP to MDMA, I don't think it's a far jump to say "this combo feels good, MDMA feels good, therefore this is like MDMA" no matter how naive it may seem.

If it's librium and prozac, that's the most pathetic speedball ever.

+1. If people are resorting to that for a high, then legitimate drugs clearly stupidly difficult to come by in that part of the world. Unless we're way off base in identifying the chlor[something or other].

i heard tramadol( a favorite of mine) is a big problem on the gaza strip at least their doing synethic opiods this is rediciculous ssris to get high

I imagine if you lived in an area where your society's prevailing religious/cultural beliefs promote sobriety and if your justice system commonly meted out stonings/other archaic forms of capital punishment for drug possession you would find them "stupidly difficult to come by"...

Well yeah, that's what I figured, it's just that the supposed popularity of this drug combo really brought that into perspective. I'd imagine you might find similar situations in Southeast Asia as a result of their draconian drug laws - there aren't gonna be that many people willing to take the risk. But yeah, I'd be interested in hearing more details about this...
