Weird effects after IV

Sorry if I broke any rule about where I'm posting I'm a brand new member and still don't understand the navigation of the site. But I am new to IVing heroin/opiates. I IV'd some leftovers (roxy and H) that sat out for about 12 hours and after the IV, my face got really red and felt a lot of pressure in the face along with not being able to take full breaths.. it lasted 20-30 seconds and then went away. What do you think happened to me???? When I researched it, the only thing I could find was maybe the result of a blood clot. It would be much appreciated for anyone to give me some answers. I think I'm giving things a break due to the scary incident.

Do you feel anxious about iving still? That cohld explain the shortness of breath?

Other than that I can only think of maybe a reaction to the fillers in the roxy or something the herojn was cut with? Haven't had that before so not sure sorry:(. You have some but not many of the symtoms of cotton fever too. These symptoms normally have an onset of about 20 mjnutes after injection.

Hopefully someone else can shed some light but taking a break is never a bad thing:)

Deff wasn't cotton fever. It happened almost 30 sec after the IV. Wasn't nervous at all. The redness in face was from something within the body. And the couldn't breath part was really a feeling if could not get full breaths in. Not from anything mental

Milking cottons is generally not a great idea. I have had a number of reactions to IV fluid that was the product of milking. Generally they resemble cotton fever, but I've had some other strange reactions as well. A buddy of mine had a gnarly reaction to IVing a slurry made from double-concave opana ER pills (a terrible idea). His face turned bright red and he complained of pressure under his skin and behind his eyes. He went still for a moment from the panic and he was unable to breathe momentarily. He couldn't walk for a few minutes, and his joints locked up after sleeping through the subsequent night. We had to take him to the doctor the following day because his joints were so inflamed he couldn't get around without assistance, but the doctor had no idea what happened. I have never heard anybody describe anything similar (and it seems like your experience was far less severe). I assumed that some particulate had entered his blood causing a strange, terrifying reaction. If you must inject pills, it's a lot safer to use a micron filter (and never, ever attempt to inject opana ER).

Thanks for your reply. What do you mean by milking cotton??? And SWIMs symptoms were very similar but yes, not as severe (thank god). Sorry to hear about your friend hope he's doing ok. I'm just glad swim is ok and hasn't had anything carry over from that incident.

No need to use SWIM here, we all know it's you.

...and "milking cottons" refers to soaking and extracting leftovers out of used filters. My friend is fine btw, I'm looking at him right now. I thought I was going to have to take him to the hospital for sure (had my shoes on almost immediately).

No problem. The SWIM thing was a little confusing especially considering you didn't use SWIM in your OP, but did in subsequent posts. Either way, I'm glad to hear that SWIY hasn't had anything carry over from the incident. Those experiences can be quite scary.
