My experience with amphetamine comedowns has been different than what i see around here.
I started using speed (amphetamine sulfate) about a month ago. I started with oral doses, but found effects and timing too unreliable, switched to nasal which had fewer adverse effects for me and the quick effectiveness and reliability made (re)dosing easier. Past week i have been administring rectally mostly. Past month ive consumed 1 gram.
Anyways what I have been noticing is my crashes are quiet mild, but take forever. For example, I'd take 5 doses of 20-30mg rectally during the day, first one at 10 am, last one at 23:00. This keeps me focused, motivated, small visual effects(after using lsd many drugs do this) and a nice body high with maybe a hint of euphoria during peaks. I fell asleep around 4 and wake up at 9, still slightly high but bearly noticable besides the fact that i feel completely fine after using speed all day and having only 5 hours of sleep.
During the day some mild effects return, some pleasant, some unpleasant like elevated heart rate. 24 hours after my last dose, my face starts getting hot and flushed, i get chills, and I start feeling tired like i should be. This is where i feel like the amphetamines are finally really wearing off. The visual effects remain for another day though, and even have stronger moments like im getting high again.
The second night i sleep very long. 10-12 hours, and I wake up tired. Once I get going im okay, but i feel like i only slept like 3 hours. This continues for maybe 2 or 3 more days, slowly getting less and less, and then its over. Getting up in the morning is incredibly difficult, besides that, i dont really feel that bad. Maybe slightly less focused and motivated.
What im wondering is;
- My comedown are quite mild besides the extreme fatigue. That can be difficult if you have things to do, but it's not particularly painful. Ive had my fair share of hangovers where i was absolutely misserable for a day. With speed as long as i can stay in bed or in the couch, im quite content. Sleeping feels good, its not a bad way to spend my time. I thought speed crashes where incredibly bad?
- i have visual effects from lsd use. Weed, mdma, and appearently speed give me mild lsd like visuals. Letters dancing, words breathing, patterns on the wall moving etc. Like the come up of a light lsd dose. Does anyone else have this? Why do these effects linger for 24-48 hours, and occasionally get more intens when my last dose was already 24 hours ago?
-With ~30 mg doses i get hints of euphoria. I want to get a more intens high, but taking higher doses seems to increase the adverse effects by a ton. I see people here using way more, but if i take 50 or 60 mg in one go, i get seriously worried about my heart. It races up to 140, 150 bpm, my dick shrinks to 2-3cm, and i spend more time on the toilet than off, even start leaking small bits of urine, etc. Not completely unmanagable, but definitely worse side effects than Im willing to have. Take smaller 20-30 doses over the day allows me to keep riding a comfortable high. Am i just overly sensitive cardiovascular wise, or is this just what it is? Pupil dillation, fidgeting, teeth clenching etc, is all non existent for me.
