Weird 2C-D Trip

This is not a trip report.

So a friend of mine ordered some 2C-D from a very well-known Canadian supplier and we weighed out our doses on a cheap milligram scale. 40mg for me and 30mg for him. We are both very experienced with psychedelics and have tried several other 2C's so we were both expecting a light and refreshing trip based on the reports online. What we got instead was a very heavy trip riddled with a heavy body load and a somewhat unclear mind. As I was coming up I began feeling very uncomfortable in both my mind and body which I wrote off as just a standard anxious come-up but it progressively got worse. I've definitely had nausea on psychedelics but I have always dealt with it easily and have never vomited on a trip. This trip I vomited 3 times. We both had fairly heavy OEV's as well, not so much patterns but a lot of warping which seems unusual for this dose. After a couple of hours I smoked and the bad effects seemed to be minimized, but still got pretty strong visuals for a few more hours.

I'm trying to figure out what exactly caused this strong reaction in both of us.

My possible explanations are, the scale was wayyy off (unlikely, have used this scaled dozens of times), this chemical reacted harshly with my body chemistry (seems unlikely as both of us had really strong effects), it was simply a bad trip (doesn't really explain the strong visuals), or this chemical wasn't 2C-D at all (would be sad as this has been a very reliable supplier in the past).

What does everyone think?

Has anyone had or heard of similar experiences?
 
I, too, feel I may have an oddly potent batch from a very good canadian supplier (fall 2010 batch). A few of us fully blasted off with 30mg (fully), and it lasted for much longer than expected. There are some comparable reports, but they are rare. Dosed at t0, peak at t2, coming back by t4 but still going strong until t6, oev lasting until t7, vibrational through t7-14. it was quite profound, like nowhere else i've ever visited.

i did take it about two hours after a rather normal methylone dose (about 200mg). there's another on the bluelight big and dandy thread who also blasted off with this combination. perhaps it's just the best, most potentiated awesome combo ever. as i was not expecting it, i certainly thought i was never coming back (which happens at this strength anyways, even if fully prepared). so this certainly added to the perception of the strength, i'm sure.

but, i can't see myself ever needing more than 30. 80-100mg?? forget it. i sincerely believe i felt the full power of this thing. this was way beyond a 20mg 2cb experience...way beyond. i find b very easy and accessible, even at psychedelic doses. this was much more psychedelic. truly a peak experience. like a potpourri of every substance out there. very similar to my dmt blastoffs.

i'm wondering if perhaps the dose response curve is somewhat flat beyond full psychedelic potential reached at ~30/40mg. but that doesn't seem to match others' experience. anyways, this 30mg was VERY STRONG. full immersion.

anyways, i'm just really curious about this baggie. it was truly a gem, but also very very unexpectedly strong. wonder if there was a super pure fall 2010 batch unlike others? or my set and setting was spot on. are any others getting crazy deep reactions to a fall 2010 batch? a lot of my effects resemble others' reports--spiralling visuals that are extremely bright at times that fully take over vision, constant flickering from periphery. not much audio hallucination. but it just seemed a bit off from the majority of other reports.

oh, no nausea during my launch (i never really get any) but some odd body load.

I think I know of this batch of 2C-D from this very well known Canadian supplier. It is also from fall 2010, and yup, 30 mgs of this stuff was fully +++. A pretty damn strong +++ i might add.
 
I may have had this batch too. 40mg was crazy. Tried around 25mg the other day from different supplier and it seemed the same potency. But I mixed it with a little 2C-B so I'm sure that boosted the visuals. Gonna try another 40 dose soon with this batch.

I hope it's always the same potency, this stuff rocks!
