Aversion therapy. Look at a photograph of yourself when you were heavier than you wanted to be. Associate every bite of unnecessary food (food that is not meant to sustain life, but instead give you pleasure) with that photograph. Never allow yourself the option of looking that way again. Also, look at your body nude daily so that you are able to clearly see the areas you want to improve. Doing this while exercising helps immensely because you are able to see anything that jiggles that you don't care to have jiggle.

Best of luck!

My tip is to not do that ^^

simply put, diet and exercise. instead of eating 2 or 3 big meals each day, eat tiny meals throughout the day, this will help to keep your metabolism going strong. cut out refined sugars, processed food products, watch your caloric intake as well as sodium. if you are a soda drinker you can lose some lbs by quitting the soda. you can try getting a protein supplement. look for something with branc chain amino acids and caffeine to help get you dropping weight.

as for working out, find something you like to do, that way its more like doing something fun rather than a chore. swimming is a great workout plus its really low impact and high resistance. running will help you drop weight but its high impact and if you have any knee or joint problems its not great for you. weights will help too. maybe join a gym or look for a gym that offers cheap month to month rates. hope that helped some.

Hi,

I was taking an antidepressant for many years, now I stopped taking it.

It disabled a lot of my personal feelings and emotions. Even if they are difficult, I do not want to supress them anymore.

The bad thing, my wheight is increasing, thought I do not eat so much more now.

I want to take some time to loose lets say 10 - 15 kg.

Can anybody recommend anything ? I.e. Kat or so ...

Maybe, you have your own recipe...

Any advice is welcome - I have some experience , except opioids...

Thanks

walk. everywhere. make sure you are doing at least 1 hour of physical activity per day. doesn't have to be strenuous. do something different every day. cut out the things you eat during the day that you don't need/extra calories/empty calories. Just fill up on fruits, veggies, quinoa/rice, and lean meats and you'll be good! The weight will start to come off quickly!

Be pollen works really well for me for curbing cravings. 1tsp is recommended daily as a multi vitamin replacement but more doesn't hurt. I throw a tsp full in my mouth when I feel a hunger craving coming on.

go vegan.

the weight will come off when your body realizes there are no more cheeseburgers and pizza.

However, I've noticed that over the long run, those who are vegan typically end up low in one or more nutrients that our bodies need and may have to take supplements to maintain a recommended level of some vitamins.

I'd suggest high plant and animal consumption.

Not helpful or healthy

That's not a long term solution, nor is it healthy. After a few weeks of being on same dose your appetite goes back to normal, or close to it. Even if it continues to suppress the appetite people tend to eat unhealthy while on adderall or other amphetamines so I would recommend a more natural approach to weight loss.

eat more raw organic vegetables for a while, less of everything else. make raw organic vegetables > 51% of your caloric intake.

Zumba....i know it sounds cheezy, but its what i've been doing over the past few years to stay in shape and release stress...
I've always had a healthy diet and exercise regularly.
if you're depressed or whatever, then you need a stress release....something to get your endorphins rockin'!! So get up and move..get your heart pumping hard for at least 30 minutes straight, three times a week. sweat, build muscle mass.
If you drink sodas, then stop drinking sodas...drink water water water water.
Eat foods high in fiber...stay away from fast food.
Get motivated about loosing weight!
:) life is wonderful and our bodies are beautiful temples :)

Seems he meant wrt calories. which means tracking your food's nutes, since calories/volume is hella different from veggies to other foods. Doubtful the 'organic' difference has much/any relevance to bodyweight here.

OP- Changing weight is a matter of calories. You gain calories from food, you lose them from exercise (and just simply being alive). You can eat less than you burn in a day, you can raise how much you burn in a day, or a combination of both (which is the best and is routine approach). Focus on reducing calories consumed, as opposed to calories burned, is *extremely* helpful for most. Will elaborate if you come back to the thread with more details of your diet / bodyweight / exercise+activities / limitations / etc

(edited: Fitday is your friend if you wanna be really serious. Even just using it for a few weeks will show you so much about your diet)

Exercise and diet. There are no magic pills or chemicals that will make you lose weight without proper diet and exercise.
