I find this combo very euphoric & sometimes I add a low dose of d-amphetamine 5-10mg along with like 2mg of alprazolam (also 3mg of etizolam or 30mg of diazepam sometimes, they're great benzos too) & a joint of weed about every hour. Gets me feeling right to say the least.

I can control my use a lot better with benzos than I can with heroin, I go on heavy heroin binges for days a lot where with benzos I can save them for the best situations to use a benzo in every couple days.

I really like how the benzos make you more sociable & the weed gives a complimentary body buzz with positive mood change. I'd take that high over blowing all my $ & sometimes suffer from harsh heroin withdrawal, benzos take a while longer to get addicted too than heroin. I've been through Both I'd rather go thru moderate benzo withdrawal than sever heroin withdrawal.

Replacing one addiction for another usually doesn't end well.

I agree heroin withdrawal is the worst out there, but in my experience if you replace dope with another drug then you'll just end up doing it every day, get a tolerance, realize nothing is as good as dope and go back.

I'd suggest a bupe taper... Unless you're not willing to actually quit, in which case, you may as well do the good shit.

Anyway I found with pot I could take a half of my dope dose and get similar effects. So just throwing that out there.

Xanax to me is a worse demon than heroin so I hope you don't end up using daily because then you'll wish you had stuck to heroin. Xanax is the worst one to be addicted to in my opinion it just makes you crazy with mood swings etc.

I don't see any harm reduction here so I'm going to close this.

Thanks for sharing your story but I would never recommend to someone addicted to heroin to stop the heroin by taking xanax on a regular basis.
