i take a good amount of opiate based substances because of legit medical conditions (acute crones and arthritis). anyway, the opiate based pills do a pretty good job of relieving pain, but the problem that remains is i have almost no appetite because anytime i eat i get severe stomach pains and basically the food goes right through me (very little digestion, very little nutrients absorbed). so basically, i fear eating because it causes so much trouble for me. when i take the opiate based pills, they help a very little with increasing my appetite, they help a little with the food staying in my digestive system, and very mildly relieve the pain.
However, when i smoke weed on top of taking the pills, i get a true appetite and really want to eat. and when i do eat, the food actually stays in my system for a normal amount of time (i don't have to run to the bathroom after 2 minutes) and i feel very little pain.
the problem is, i really, really, don't like smoking that much, and for obvious reasons i can't just carry a bong (or whateva) around with me everywhere. it's not like someone says, "let's go out or let's go eat," and i say fine, i'm just going to have to bring a bowl into the mall or into a restaurant and light it up over a big mac. But if i had a pill that would do the same thing, it would be no problem, i could just pop it anywhere before or when i eat.
so here are some questions, i have never tried Marinol so i don't know how the effects compare to KB? does marinol produce the same effect that smoking weed does and would it have a similer effect on me. do you think marinol is strong enough that it would work as a substitute for smoking? do you know how many milligrams is roughly equivalent to smoking KB? and last but not least, do you think a doctor, whom i know very well (since i've been into his office so much and probably payed for an extra wing on his house for all the bills), would prescribe marinol if i explained the situation (i haven't told him i smoke and have i not told him the effects that smoking has on me)?
i would appreciate any info on how marinol (even in high doses) compares to good weed, and/or any suggestions on what i should do.
peace and
thanks a lot
