weed that grows wild

hey everyone :)

anyway, i live in kansas, and i have family out in western kansas where weed grows wild. would this stuff be any good? free weed = free weed which is pretty sweet but i dont want something that will be complete crap and not worth getting caught with :(
 
made me think of rolling kansas lol.
and no one can really know for sure, youre gonna have to check yourself.
 
but as long as its cannabis and it buds, isnt it smokeable? hemp can be any of the 3 plants (i think...im pretty new to this)
 
An average marijuana strain is capable of producing marijuana with an 8%-12% THC content. More potent strains can reach 20%, or a bit higher. Marijuana consumers and growers should stick with cannabis plants intended to be grown for the marijuana they produce, even if hemp is free. That is not to say that you shouldn't buy hemp products (just don't bother smoking them).

The cannabis genus is made up of three species, they are Cannabis indica, Cannabis ruderalis, and Cannabis sativa. Cannabis indica and Cannabis sativa can both used to produce marijuana, hashish, and hashish oil.

Cannabis ruderalis is not used to produce marijuana, hashish, or hashish oil by itself. However, ruderalis plants are sometimes crossed with indica and sativa plants that are used to produce these substances.

Although Cannabis indica and Cannabis ruderalis are sometimes classified as subspecies of Cannabis sativa, there are some major differences in these plants that make them worthy of being classified as three totally separate species.

ah thanks for the info. ill have to see what it is but you are probably right. dunno why else it would be there...
 
Where I live we get Ruderalis growing on fields. It is too weak to smoke but we make what we call 'Milky Way' with it. You fill a pot with the hemp, preferably buds or flowers and pour full fat milk on it, the fatter the better (you can add butter or cream). You boil it for a couple of hours and then if you want you boil down the milk to a smaller quantity. The resulting brew has effects similar to a space cake, lasting up to 10h and with a flooring body high.
