weed on lexapro

what do you guys think about smoking weed on lexapro. (What are you feelings about it) I personally like it because it allows me to smoke weed without the anxiety, and i was wondering if anyone else liked it as much as me?

If you are speaking of Lexapro, the A/D SSRI drug then smoking weed is no big deal while taking it. I smoked some while I was on it- No diff to me.
But I'm glad I'm off the crap now- that damn lexapro.
 
Never have done the combination.

I am perscribed seroquel which i believe is in the same family.

I didn't really notice any difference in the intensity of the high but more the type of high it was.

Very motivational and intellectual which, by coincidence, is my favorite type of high.

I do however, have a very "unique" (read: damaged) brain chemisty so it might not work the same for another.
 
Was on Lexapro for 6 months. Started smoking daily after being on it for 2 months. Now I'm off it, the stuff is amazing, completly cured me of my depression, but my anxiety really returned after going off it. Weed is just as good, on or off the ssri.
 
dude really? i smoke everyday.. and i was just prescribed to it. i was hesitant about taking it because i was afraid it would fuck up my high.. and like make me feel like shit.. cause most antidepressants make me feel that way.

Seroquel (Quetiapine) isn't an SSRI like lexapro, its an anti-psychotic, so they wont have the same effects at all.
 
Here we go again with people saying that their anti depressant doesn't work when smoking pot. No shit, huh? And people bashing ADs. Grow up, you want to not be depressed, don't do other drugs while taking ssris. THC is known to increase depression, but you're hardcore so you won't quit. Eventually you'll see that it doesn't work and have to give up your precious habit, or stay depressed. Very simple.

I was recently put on Lexapro. My psychiatrist said that it is fine to smoke while on an SSRI, but doing anything else in terms of drugs is getting risky. Basically yes you can smoke, but while taking an SSRI it's not good to do so in excess. Mushrooms or anything major begin to put you at risk for Seratonin syndrome and, IIRC, anhedonia.
 
Haven't been on lexapro, but I've sampled various SSRIs as well as mood stabilizers and anti psychotics. I still smoke heaps of pot. Its great.

You can't take ecstasy though, the SSRI blocks the action or something. But when I knew someone who had a lot of coke, I swear it lasted longer for me. I might be wrong though.
 
I too was on Lexapro for a while. I didn't really notice any differences in the highs. I quit Lexapro not too long after I started it, mostly because my dick didn't work on it and I was really sick of waking up every morning to throw pills down my throat.
 
I was on 20mgs of Lexapro about 2 years ago and could never really feel any effects..During the time I was prescribed it though I was consuming unbeleivable amounts of Mdxx, cocaine, inhalants, etc.... The only thing I really remember Lexapro doing was granting me with one of the most bizzare withdrawals EVER!!! Fuck SSRI's..If you have anxiety get some low dose benzos and don't abuse them...
