I spent all of Tuesday smoking weed and it was awesome. I fell asleep stoned, and for the entire next day I felt groggy and tired and couldn't really be bothered to do anything. Has anyone else experienced this kind of hangover from weed?

Yer bro, happens when you hammer the bongs all day long. Next day will be lazy, groggy and a bit fuzzy. Sucks. Takes a few days to properly clear up if you've been hitting it HARD as well.

Worst thing is more weed usually helps clear it up the next day, but not good in the long run haha.

I find that if you limit yourself to just ONE session at night (Even one decent one), and wait a bit before you sleep...Next day is A - OK.

Its when you smoke heaps and heaps over the day it builds up and you end up with a bong-over.

I always feel like i slept better if I go to bed stoned. I do smoke alot of Indica buds tho and will usually only have a bowl or two if im smoking alone. Ill usually stay up for an hour or two and then when I feel it starting to wear off I go to bed with my ipod on. Usually Il have CEVs if I do this which is awesome. Next morning I feel fine.

I don't tend to get that. The day after a session I usually feel quite peaceful, relaxed and calm. But yes - very, very lazy. Smoking weed the nights before I did my exams (but NEVER directly before) saw me entering them calm, collected and focused. I think my results will be good, but until I find them out, I cannot advocate using drugs to help people in exams...

I'm a daily smoker (smoke week every evening after work) and my minimum time for recovery so I can work the day after is 6-7 hours – I think that you must discover your sleeping time and you will be ok days after%)%)

I like that burnt-out feeling. It's almost the same type of calming feeling I get from smoking a cigarette, it's just.. more. I just live with it. I just relax when I get it.

When I was in HS and had very little tolerance to weed, I would smoke late at night just so I could get the weed "hangover" the next day. At the time, this meant being as high as I currently get from a one hitter, although it lasted until lunch period. Ahh, I miss the days of no tollerence. The weed hangover is a thing of the past for me.

I love highovers. You smoke a bowl or two the mornings when you feel that way and you end up having some of the sweetest wake-n-bakes you'll ever experience... but the comedown/burnt-out feeling after the high tends to be even worse than it originally was. Usually a nap'll fix that up no problem, though.

Even after a few years of daily smoking, I still get "highovers" (good term Jibult!) very rarely. Not nearly as much as when I was in highschool or anything --- the advice given to me was drink some water when you get up, because rehydrating seems to help anything...if it bothers you anyway.

I, like many others here, miss the highovers =(

yeah man. it really tends to happen the worst when you smoke right before going to bed. for me, marijuana's negative influence on my sleep increases almost exponentially as the time i'm smoking approaches the time i fall asleep. also tends to be more noticeable when you're not a daily smoker . . when i'm smoking regularly, that just kinda feels like "normal."

i've found that caffeine, ginseng and exercise are all pretty good remedies.

We use the term "highover" @ UNH as well, go figure, must just be a good term :P

I don't get it anymore, I just feel more dumb the next day than I would if I was sober the night before.

UNH = University of New Hampshire?

This definitely decreases dramatically with tolerance. I used to love the hazy feeling the next day, it was almost like a bit of a buzz and made school or work that much more tolerable. These days when I wake up it's more of a slight grogginess, but it's not easily distinguishable from just being tired in the morning.

Either way, a dose of piracetam usually brightens the brain right up!

yeah, I love those days where I just keep on smoking through the night and wake up and smoke some more (only if its with a sativa NOT indica) being high for 18+ hours and then smoking some more and facing the world, its the most satisfying feeling I've ever had, showers are the best way to deal with really bad highovers imo (or swimming, then lying around on the beach for the rest of the day)

(only done it like twice though :P )

Yea happens all the time after a full day of getting faded.
i just P.O.D and wake up the next morning feeling really nice haha
i like the feeling tho
