weed experience similar to salvia

okay ive been smoking weed for a few years and ive just recently tried salvia, so about 6 months ago i had a frightening experience with weed that was waaayyy too intense for me that i can say felt exactly like my salvia experience..

except i liked the salvia experience....

i felt like i had gone into a different universe and only my mind went but i couldnt even think lol..
can anyone explain what happened??

and it was my own homegrown weed (all organic) so it wasnt laced or tainted which has happened to me before

I wouldn't worry about it man - just sounds like you've had an atypical reaction to the weed.

I've had similar things happen to me from crappy old soapbar, back in the day. I was convinced that it wasn't hash I was smoking - everyone else was fine. However, this was before I'd tried any other drugs. Maybe your salvia experience opened the door for weed to have the potential to do it to you.

It's called PTSD, or what psychonauts like to call "flashbacks". The weed high reminded you of the salvia high and you were transported back into that state of mind temporarily. The same thing happens to people who do shrooms or LSD and then smoke weed later. For me personally, I've had this happen in the weeks following a strong 2c-e trip.

The upshot: if you abstain from the salvia, the flashbacks will lesson over time (weeks to months).

Ah, sorry for misreading you - but that rings true with my experience. It's quite a common thing and can happen to even veteran weed smokers.
