Weed buying etiquette?

So last night I was asking around to get some weed. I was planning to pick it up the next day, but seeing as I had a short time frame to actually pick it up, i wanted to make sure my dealer had some.

My usual guy said there was no bud, so i asked a friend for his dealers number. I called him last night to ask if i could pick up a half e the next day and he said thats cool.

So today, in the morning, i get a call from my usual dealer saying he had bud. Since i know him, have dealt with him before, know he has good shit and trust him, i got my weed from him.

But later, my friends dealer called and asked if i still needed a half e. I told him no and that was that. Buuuuuuut, now my friend is calling me, bugging me about not buying from HIS dealer.

Is there some sort of buying etiquette here to follow? If i ask to pick up a half e from a guy who already has weed and dont pick it up, is that so wrong?

Blah. Opinions?
 
well, the only reason I can gather your friend would be even mildly upset would be because perhaps the dealer would have given him some kind of a perk or deal for sort of referring a buddy. but, who knows??
 
I dont really care if i made my friend a little pissed; he'll get over it. I just don't wanna make his dealer pissed.

As long I didn't commit a weed buying faux paus.
 
im sure the dealer isnt mad. i have done something similar to this before to. i mean there going to sell it anyway you know?

hes (dealer) just gonna get a little pissed that he didnt get to sell it to you, but he must have known because almost 70% of the time that people call a dealer to ask if they have something, they never actually get anything (at least with me and my buddys, which is why i never call when i dont got money)
 
tell ur friend to stop crying. you made a wise choice going with the person you knew had good weed. its better than getting something thats not up to par.

no offense here but by asking dealer #2 you may have wasted hours of there time. Im sure if you explain it as above all sides would see the light. Write down my # but dont call til your sure!

It might be a little rude, but shit happens, I'm sure the guy understands that, it happens all the time. I don't think it's any big deal, just let it go they will forget about it in a few days when some other drama rolls along. :)
 
it's just business. obviously you aren't gonna chill on your arse for a dealer to call you telling you when they're ready to deal, you go with whoever is ready to deal when YOU want weed.
 
mabey if he reserved it especially for u , but more than likely ur friend feels cool giving his dealer business like he gets brownie points for helping sell shit... i know i felt pretty cool when i used to help a connect sell bud to my friends, i always made him out to be all hardcore and made sure i never gave his number out lol ,
 
You didn't really do anything wrong in my book. You call around to see who's got shit then go and get whats convenient for you, the early bird gets the worm as they say.

It would be different if it was a middle man who went out his way to get your shit, but an actual dealer for a small amount of weed didn't go to any trouble for you, they get weed because they have customers not because they are doing you a favour. Even if he bought a bit extra for you chances are he got an even better price on what he bought for doing so and he will be able to sell it anyway. Often cunts will try and guilt you in to the purchase to make more money but fuck 'em.

If it was a middle man (and it sounds like it wasn't) then its a pretty shitty thing to do because they have wasted their time and they are out of pocket to try and do you a favour. I wouldn't read too much into the situation anyway, regardless of circumstance weed gets sold and smoked it all levels out, the next guy who would call for weed just after the dealer sold out and would of had to try someone else will be in luck because you didn't buy yours, its simple as that.
 
ya your friend is probly just trippin cause dealers really could care less if you buy from them they always have someone else trying to buy.
 
dude i was so embarassed today, idk what iwas thinking but my dlr gives me the weed, as we're walking down an alley, and i pull out my wallet and spend like 3 seconds taking the cash out, i felt like sucha fucking noob, ugh it was terrible. w/e i got good shit anywayshah
 
he might just be upset cause he thought he sold half a zip and now he didnt. depends if he is big or small time but probably nothin' bad just don't try to buy from him again
 
it's not a big deal... If the guy is just getting O's then he might be a little pissed, but he's over it, if it's good weed it's gonna get sold anyways... If he's picking up Q's or P's then he doesn't give a fuck about it.

i thought you've only smoked weed a few times and didn't even get high? what should make you feel like a noob is making up stupid stories. i dont see how it coulda been mebarassing taking your money out, even if this story is real, i suggest you get a real dealer so theres less 14 year olds in alleys with shadey street dealers. Also I don't think you have enough experience with weed to judge good and bad weed.

Sorry for flaming you, I don't usually flame but damn dude, that's really annoying.
 
^not hard to tell good weed from bad weed, besides, "good" depends on whoever is talking, it could be good weed to him even if you smoked the same stuff and thought it was complete crap
