Your slight OD on adderall stimulated the paranioa you get from weed.

If you don't want me to say quit, don't ask my opinion... take a fucking break, count your blessings, and smoke when you feel comfortable and in small doses. Hearing voices, continued hallucinations, these are because of your stimulant use.

I'm glad to hear that. I expect soon, if you smoke carefully, you will be fine. There is a chance it could trigger paranoia depending on how heavy your stimulant use was. everyone is different. glad to hear you got your head straight.

What has helped me quite a bit in this respect is to start smoking just before bedtime. When you curl up in bed and close your eyes, your body rewards you for tending to its need for sleep with a release of dopamine. Soon, by the nature of human psychology, you begin to associate marijuana with this reward, and the association potentiates the positive reaction that you have to it. Eventually, using this trick, you'll stop producing any sort of negative reaction to cannabis intoxication, if you're at all like I am.

I haven't done this, but to fortify the approach, maybe try rewarding yourself with a sweet bedtime treat as well?

it takes your brain somewhere around 4 weeks to fully recover after 1 time rolling. meaning after you pop one time, the chemical levels in your brain will not be normal for the next month. i dont know what caused your panic attack, but sounds like you just took a high dosage of uppers and felt the consequences. you are not invincible.

what you are experiencing is perhaps a combo of long term and short term side effects. doing a drug for years doesnt mean that you fully understand the drug and its effects. Obviously, smoking isn't helping your situation-mentally or physically. i know you dont want to hear it, but quitting or atleast taking a break is probably your only rational option. give your brain time to heal, try eating healthy and exercising. i'd say atleast 2-4 weeks of sobriety.

just my opinion. i had an experience pretty similar to yours. i was binging on mollies for about a month or two and towards the end as i was taking higher and higher doses, mixing it with other uppers(coke and adderall) as well as pot and alot of alcohol. last few 2 times i rolled my heart rate jumped thru the roof, got light headed and almost had a panic attack. havent touched mollies since then, took about a month off of smoking and started exercising and eating healthy(or atleast eating healthier) and blazing is relaxing again.

A release of dopamine is going to keep you up- speed releases dopamine, coke prevents its re-uptake and the dopamine rebound is why G addicts wake up every couple of hours

Dopamine replenishes itself realitivley fast eh.

I think you guys may be thinking of serotonin when you say 4weeks

I'm certainly not a neuroscientist, but doesn't "a release of dopamine" describe a broader ranger of phenomena? My assumption was that dopamine is a neurotransmitter responsible for many functions (including rewarding any satisfaction of a basic bodily need), depending on where in the brain it is utilized.

I'm not a neuroscientist either, hopefully someone who is will explain.

a lot of people develop bad side effects after years of heavy smoking. It happened to me after about three years, and most people i know that are over 25ish that used to smoke a ton of weed quit because of the paranoia and anxiety. It sucks but it happens. I used to LOVE weed. smoked all day everyday, looked forward to getting ripped and listening to music every night. but now its one of my least favorite drugs.

If you keep having this problem try smoking the shittiest weed you can find. That actually works for me. the THC is what causes all the problems so if you can find weed with a lower ratio of thc to other cannabinoids the high will be a lot mellower.

well i said "chemicals" because i wasnt sure if serotonin was the only neurotransmitter that takes 4 weeks to return to normal levels.

hey man, i don't think this has anything to do with blazin too hard over the years, smokin too much weed causes mild anxiety if anything at all. I had a similar problem years ago, after a cocaine overdose. I wasn't into it at all, like my third time doing it, but it was a miserable experience where my whole body was tingling like mad, lost function of my hands and feet, heart racing, absolute mental agony, felt like I was on my way out. For months after I couldn't even drink coffee without getting insane anxiety, I would still smoke weed occasionally but it would fuck with my head immensly during that period. Sounds like you need to chill for a while, I would recommend abstaining from stimulants, mdma, and weed for 4-6 months. Seriously, don't roll for a long while. From what I remember it took about that long til I was back enjoying blazin all day.

I disagree completely with "smoking too much weed causes mild anxiety if anything at all" I recently quit smoking weed (probably for good) because of the anxiety it was causing, only smoked it for two years daily, but i cant even enjoy it now and in fact i hate it, guaranteed bad/paranoid mindset (this didn't happen after any stimulant od though, i believe its just from excess use as in too much of anything is a bad thing)
