Another thing we should do is remove drug offenses from peoples criminal records. Gainful employment has been shown by some studies to be the most significant factor in recidivism.. Drug charges and especially felonies can make it almost impossible for a person to get a good job. The system is deeply flawed and looks like it is designed to feed itself with self induced recidivism.
