i just took 3.5 of these guys about an hour ago and am not really feeling anything like what i have read on these. these are supposed to have 5 mgs of hydrocodone per pill right? so i have taken 17.5 mgs and feel nothing but maybe a little lightheadedness? should i take another one?

i weigh 155 and ate some burgers about 30 mins before taking these..

also as an aside, i did roll 3 days ago if that could have anything to do with it? don't think vicodin messes with serotonin.. but haven't done any other drugs before that in about 3 months.

That's a good starting dose you are on. I wouldn't take more because it can make you sick. It could be that you just don't care for the drug. Also, most people don't really like opiates for the first couple of times until they know what to expect from them.

before i read this i did take another 2 halves, totaling 22.5 mgs. i definitely felt it then, kinda warm and fuzzy and sluggish. everything i have heard/read about them does appeal to me, as far as the general high goes. i don't feel nauseous at all and didn't at any point really.. and the effects are definitely waning now 3.5 hours or so after the first 17.5 mg dose.. i would like to really experience it, but you are saying that you have to do them a few times to be affected?

that was kind of what it was like for me when i first started rolling, the first 2-3 times i just got threshold experiences then all of a sudden the next time i took some i was floored.

You don't have to do them multiple times to get effects but a lot of people who have experience with weed, psychedelics or other drugs expect something that opioids can't provide and are initially disappointed.

17.5mg is a good dose for some without a tolerance while some may need more than that and some might puke from less. It varies quite a bit. Many recommend dosing on an empty stomach to maximize the effects but for some this increases the nausea.

Well some people surely get an awesome high the first time, but for me I was just drowsy and a bit warm. Then after a few times I would get energy from them, love talking to people, and just feel awesome. I didn't feel anything like that the first few times, and Ive heard others say the same thing. Once your body is used to it a bit, and your mind knows what to expect, then that's when I really could be free to enjoy the drug. Be careful though, it's a very addictive drug.

will do thanks for the info. i guess i was a little let down by the euphoria aspect because some make it sound like it is unmatched, but from what i am feeling i would take a euphoric psychedelic over this any day, but IF i were to have a good amount of these vicodins i would like to know the most effective way to enjoy them. and i have been through addiction and have learned how to control myself i feel. i am not an everyday user type person, i just enjoy spacin' out every now and then.

That's what everyone who later becomes addicted says when they first start opioids. They think they will be able to control it and just not use them too frequently. If you are unlucky enough to be someone who is predisposed for opioid addiction (and the fact that you say you have had issues with addiction in the past does not bode well), "willpower" will eventually go out the window. There is not a lot you can do to avoid getting addicted to opioids other than not use them. If you say you would prefer a psychedelic anyway, then stay away from opioids. It really isn't worth the risk of addiction. And opioids can be a lot harder to quit than drugs that don't create much of a physical dependence, because once you get physically dependent it is absolute hell when you stop taking them. Opioid addiction is something that just slowly creeps up on you, many people - who later became addicts - said they didn't see what the big deal was the first time they tried it (and they therefore falsely assumed they weren't going to get addicted). You may feel like you can control it at first, so you don't think it will be a problem later down the line. Recreational use of opioids can not be "controlled", you either are prone to addiction or you aren't.

Honestly, when I start taking vics I would take a start dose of 35mg or so. Did me quite nicely.

My first recreational dose (I had taken smaller doses before it, but mostly for pain) was 30mg of hydrocodone. That had me flying all night, but I got a little sick from it, and probably would have gotten even more sick if it had been my very first time using the drug.

About 1.5 years ago I started with 1-2 Vicodin 5/500mg tabs about 4 to 5 times a day. Now I'm up to 14-15, Vicodin 5/325mg tabs 8 to 9 times a day. Never thought I could get to this point. Its harder than you think to "control yourself" when your able to get large amounts as frequently as I am. I work as a technician in a very lax, and easily manipulated pharmacy, so I have almost anything at my disposal. All I'm saying is be careful. It can get outta hand before you know it.

In terms of why you didn't feel that opiate bliss, it was probably the burgers.
Swimmingdancer has got it straight, stay quick away or quick enough you'll be lusting for opiates as if it were a cure for all kinds of heartaches (and the damning thing is that for awhile, it really is).

I'd have to say I agree with Swimmingdancer as well. Opiates have seriously impacted my life in a very negative way. In very short period of time as well. I've never been one to be against trying out a drug but I would definitely use caution when it comes to opiates. They were definitely my downfall and the downfall of pretty much everyone of my friends/using buddies.
