Water in bong for 5-meo-dmt?

I have tried 5-meo-dmt several times and each time have not put water in my bong. The smoke is normaly really really harsh and feels like its fucking my lungs, I was just wondering if I put water in will I loose effect? I could try it out but I have very little of the stuff and dont want to waste it. Thanks.

Well I put it in the top of the bong and then heat it very gently with a lighter, it seems to work quite well, I've tried chasing it on foil but that didnt really work.

i'd like to know aswell. does some of the 5-meo dissolve in the water on its way through?

if it's sold as the free base, not really, but it'll still be noticable.
if it's sold as a salt, probably.
heh... i knew someone who loaded a bong (for weed) with rum...
...THC is soluble in ethanol.

THC is fat soluble, that's why water bongs work. I'm not sure about 5-meo-dmt, if it's not water soluble you won't waste it.
