Thought I’d try this out as a concept…

Personally I love a music documentary - short or long form, it’s all good stuff!

Please use this thread for posting short or long form music-based documentaries, behind-the-scenes, tour documentaries, etc.

Please no straight-up music videos as we have a tonne of those already ❤️

I'm reminded of a quote from Deadwax:

"If I had to choose between a really amazing album that nobody else has ever heard before, and the money that album is worth, I'd choose the album."

For sure! Although I must admit I’d have to release the audio. My hoarder’s arse would for sure keep the original, but my “nan of the people” soul would do the decent thing and drop the album for free. There’ll still only be one original complete with artwork and so forth, after all!

Outstanding documentary on the rise of dubstep from ketamine and weed drenched squat parties in London and Bristol, all the way to stadium shows in America.

Plenty of detail on every step of the way and a must see if you have even the remotest interest in dubstep of any flavour.

Despite the title, it’s actually not overly harsh on the rise of Brostep so Skrillex fans are safe ;)

For those that don’t peruse EADD - and are maybe less familiar with the legendarily debauched antics of the Mondays - thought I’d repost this one here.

You thought the likes of Led Zeppelin and The Who were debauched? You ain’t seen nothing yet… 8o;)=D

Pretty much just a school lesson from a guest speaker filmed by the BBC… but soooo much better than that sounds.

Charting the history of the early days of the British rave scene through the lenses of society and culture, this is both educational and nostalgic.

Sone interesting, if saddening, comments from the students who basically think nothing like that could happen again as the peer pressure of social media (with the ever-present threat of being filmed doing something cringe) is just too much. Sad, but probably true :\
