Hi all,

first as a short intro, I'm not very experienced with drugs, meaning alcohol and a couple times of MDMA. Nothing else. Not on any meds.

(if you don't care about this wall of text, just go to the bottom where the question is)

On new years eve I had some friends over at my place. We drank a lot and it was kind of a fun evening. I did not notice anything special, only that looking back I should have been more "wasted", more confuse and less concentrated and coordinated. The world wasn't spinning around. then shortly after they left except my girlfriend things went south. We went to bed but I was very talkative and in retrospect "aggressive" and insensitive. She was very drunk and basically just fell asleep to my blabbering. I'm the quiet guy, usually. Alcohol can change that but not in that extremes.

Anyway, I then realized I was wide-awake. Impossible to sleep awake. I do have sleeping issues so that did not trouble me at that moment but again, thinking about it, normally with that level of alcohol I would be asleep in seconds. I was also pissed at my GF for falling asleep on me. I had to pee very often (and later had to shit several times.). After lying there for about 1-2 hours and still being very, very angry go up and tried to sleep on the couch. There I had some form of mental breakdown. First I wrote complete garbage into my journal and then I had to cry for no reasons. After a short time (have no idea actually how long I was on the couch, felt short). I went back to bed. My GF noticed something was wrong and we had a talk.

After that talk the angry part was gone, depression somewhat too but know I felt like going crazy. Depersonalization. I had to touch my face, like yes this is me. Closing my eyes lead to a kaleidoscopic like effect. Like patterns flying away from me. In general having lights on made it better. At that point I started to realize something is way off and the thought about bing drugged creeped up. Then I basically had several hour panic attack. I've had some before but this was by far the longest and far the worst. My heart was racing. Now all this could be just the alcohol but I never ever had something like this. Also I have very bad hangovers, headache and I feel, very, very sick and have to puke the next day. This time, nothing at all besides I minor headache. I did not sleep at all the whole night. I felt very shaky when getting up, almost fainting but I then realized just lying there would not help with the PA and I started doing dishes from last night. That mostly stopped the PA in it's tracks but I still felt very "off" and not at all like a typical hangover.

After that I went back to bed and was able to sleep maybe 1 or 2 hours. By mid-afternoon I was more or less fine except very tired and depressed. So my question is:

Could I have been drugged with cocaine, orally? Note that at least in one instance i remember just talking one of the champagne glasses not really knowing which was mine, after all it was at my place. So that could have been an accident. However is that possible I would not notice a change in taste? (or is there none or subtle enough someone drunk would not notice?) I once knowingly tasted some beer with MDMA in it and well it was obvious it wasn't just beer. How extreme is a coke high? Is is even possible to go unnoticed or be confused with simply being drunk? I know 2 people there now and then take cocaine. Maybe it's a lot more often than I know?

So is this a likely scenario or am I just paranoid and really going mad?

Hello,
Although it is possible that you could have been drugged, I doubt that is what has happened here. If you were drugged, cocaine would not have been the drug used. Oral cocaine has little effect in comparison to insufflation. Cocaine taken orally is also known to make people feel extremely nauseated and feel like vomiting, due to it's effects inside the stomach.

Alcohol can often cause insomnia, due to it increasing dopamine levels in the brain. I personally believe that you may have just suffered some insomnia and reboud anxiety after drinking, and once a panic attack hit you, most of those symptoms you experienced stemmed from that.

Anxiety can cause all of the symptoms you have listed.

Stay well!

That almost sounds like a PV experience/crash... MDPV or alpha-PVP would be orally active, cause insomnia and that bizarre kind of 'hangover' which is more like having influenza and tripping on acid at the same time.

But hey, who knows?

Whatever the case, I hope you're feeling better. If you were drugged, then you obviously were able to deal with it (despite it being extremely unpleasant) and you're coherent enough now to write up a post which makes perfect sense.

What a strange situation. I feel bad for you, dude. I think you'll be better soon enough. Hang in there.

This is pure speculation and we don't allow threads like that. Nobody is going to be able to tell you for sure if you were drugged or what you were drugged with.
