Gabapentinoids Warning! Pregabalin (lyrica) vaped off foil, breathing problems

Didn't wanna start a new thread for this so I write this down here.

I tried smoking 150mg of pregabalin off the foil yesterday 'cos oral route doesn't get me high even with 900mg taken at once. I am prescribed 2 x 300mg/day for fibromyalgia.

I got high from it, but as a harm reduction information. Don't do it!

I got racing heart and breathing problems.. those breathing issues continue to this day.. I will never do this mistake again.

Just woke up and breathing problems persists. Don't wanna go to ER.. hope this goes away on its own...

All those fillers in those pills is definitely not good for your lungs. I had the 150mg lyrica pills and they have alot of fillers in them. If your getting breathing problems go see a doctor asap. Do you have a GP you could make a appointment with?

Don't wanna lose my only working painkiller (I know, I am the one to blame). And I can't afford private GP so public side wouldn't get info about that visit. I think I just tough it up..

I getcha there im on morphine and one of my biggest fears is that my doctor will find out that im a IV drug user or that i abuse my scripts. I did go to the ER for a coke seizure once and they found out i was shooting coke but neither my shrink or the GP's i have had since then has ever brought it up. Im prescribed more controlled substances now then i ever was before.

How bad is your breathing? If it gets bad you may have to bite the bullet. You cant get high if your dead either.

And you are right. If this does get any worse.. I just have to get myself to ER.

Try to make up a story. Like you were stuck in a burning building or by a fire and were inhaling a bunch of toxic shit.

Don’t tell them you were abusing drugs or they’ll just tell you to go die and treat your worse than a stray dog

Last update to this thread from me. I now feel mostly normal and I didn't go to ER (even if I maybe should have).

Will not repeat this mistake and I hope my experience will help someone else not to make that same mistake.
 
No mate, don't smoke pregabalin please. To be honest this is the first time that I heard of someone doing it.
I have no articles or studies about smoking pregabs to link here, but I am totally sure that that can't be good for you. I have met people who snort their pregb, and that's bad enough. All the fillers in those capsules, just like in any pill, weren't meant to be smoked, snorted or injected; they designed those things for oral administration and whatever other route you use is dangerous cause it can hurt you in many ways.

Apart of all that, if you aren't getting high from 900 mg pregabalin orally, then I think your problem is tolerance related and your best option is to take a break, or at least to taper it, rather than trying another routes of administration.
The truth is pregabalin has a pretty decent oral bioavailability, but tolerance builds superfast with this substance

Tolerance in no way "builds up fast" as I have a prescription for them, and if this were true my dose would be maxed out by now. I honestly probably need a dosage increase due to my body mass increasing about 40% since I first began taking them, but that's another story. Aside from that, they still prevent me from being in agonizing pain to the point I would rather be dead than live with it anymore... So, there's that lol

But, yes, don't smoke or snort them as its pointless and harmful... I agree with that part..
