Warning on brown powder (mdma/pmma) - ireland

Nope :-) Never met the lad. I'm freelance, Shambles. Google me, this is my real name.

Or ask F&B - he's met me.

And I think you're focussing on the wrong part of my post, with respect. Though I do agree that the methoxetamine article wasn't the greatest piece of journalism I've ever read, the magazine has a wide appeal and i think the PMA story has to get out more widely.

I think it's important to speak to expert drug users, and take their wisdom to the mainstream. It's HR, and I'd like to speak to anyone on here that has experience of PMA/PMMA. I've done my research (see the rest of my post) and I'm doing this story to address the normally substandard reporting around PMA/PMMA in the press.

Plus, there's loads of dodgy pills around. Again. Whereas in Holland, there's a 97% pure supply. Go figure...

Had a wee shufty at your previous posts after posting and as a result will withdraw the serious part of my semi-serious question. Proper journalism about real issues is just dandy by me. Making up bollox just to drum up business for a mate's shonky dealing practices considerably less dandy. Is hardly surprising "journalist" tends to be seen as a synonym for "lying scumbag" around these parts. Not just for the Mixmag debacle either - has been a running theme. But you seem nice so will assume you are nice :)

No idea about PMA/PMMA though. Is a bizzare thing to find in pills. Very bad news but also very weird. Killing punters is hardly good for business. Suppose it doesn't matter so much when said business is illegal - not like trading standards are gonna kick up a fuss really.

Nice to be nice, isn't it? :-)

This powder in Ireland was clearly mashed up pills and some other rubbish, and it killed two people. I can understand idiot kid dealers banging out cheap gear and hoping for the best. It's the PMA chemists that baffle me.

The dutch method seems the least insane reponse there is - and let's not forget that dozens of people do die each year from pure MDMA. This is about relative, not absolute, safety.

So, thanks Shambles. Drop me a pm with an email and I'm sure we could have an interesting chat. I can only send 1pm every three hours and it's a drag.

Least insane method is full legalisation of all drugs and proper education on the subject. But the Dutch approach would make for a sensible stopgap measure until sanity reigns eventually. Which it will.

(a boy can dream)

Dunno if I've even got an active email addy at the moment. Never really use email. Aside from one that order confirmations get sent to, of course, but has been ages since I last used that... Should check it's not been closed actually cos that would be annoying - thanks for reminding me. Will potter and ponder 'bout PMs. Aside from still being alive, I really don't make such a good advert for responsible drug use :D

I'll keep my eyes pealed for the article but I've no intention of participating. I do not trust the media, & I rarely trust other people!

I want the decriminalisation of ALL drugs possession! We need to wise up & accept other peoples life choices. I don't think much of people who drop 8 kids they can't afford to feed but there ain't shit I can do about it & I don't really care, so I stay out of their bussiness. It'd be nice if people could stay the fuck out of mine!

The latest legal highs article on Mixmags site is dated January 14th. This chaps piece will be about the PMA fatalities of late & don't think it as appeared yet. Here's a Mixmag search results page for the term "legal highs".

Oh & here's another search results page from Mixmag, this time the search term was PMA! Most recent return, January 23rd.

When I saw the title of this thread I thought it was on about gear. Thought it should have read 'Warning on Brown Powder - Everywhere' (it gets you hooked and ruins your life.

Not like Ive got heroin on the brain or anything.

This sort of shit is the direct downside of chemists going through Shulgins cookbook and churning out everything both rc and illegal. If life was still nice and simple and they had decriminalised the traditional drugs when people started taking them on mass Id say most people would have stuck to mdma/mda. Now we have a free for all - one day there could be a rave with a capacity of 1000 and no 2 people will be on the same chemical
