On 21.11.2012 SWIM woke up with headache, blurred vision and yellow eyes and took 50mg extendes release Tilidine against this. Normally SWIM took 50mg Tilidine against his chronic headace and all is good 1-2 hours after. The last thing SWIM remember, that he go to take a bath.

SWIM woke up sweaty, desoriented and with big pupills after 3 days in hospital after a cerebral seizure in her bathtub where he was found by her great-grandmother which lives whith SWIM in WG. He was in hepatic coma and had a hepatic psychosis which was treated with Midazolam and Haldol under fixation.
Had also a malignant hyperthermia of 42,7°C which was treated with 1,5l of infusions per hour over 3 Days and external cooling.

Emergency doctor first thinks of a intoxication, and gives him only 10mg of Valium against the status epilepticus. It wasnt broken through from this. The very good clinic laboratory can't trace any drugs without 0,1 vol% Alcohol, the Tilidine and Etizolam.

Laboratory gives a creatine kinase value of 27.000 (normallly <190) in emergency room. 2 Days after that SWIM was placed at Cardiac guard unit, cause they think his heart will stop to beat (and this happens 3 times -.-) and her liver and kidneys should fail.
The CK-Value rises up to 58.000 and the ASAT up to 520 after 3 days in CGU.

The values of CK and ASAT falls under the hydration. Hyperthermia doesn't comes back since 23.11.
SWIM leaved the clinic at 26.11.2012.

The laboratorys tested the influence of Etizolam and Lasea(lavender oil, which SWIM took also daily 1 capsule) of the CK-Funkction of the liver and told him that etizolam and lavender oil was poision for liver - specially the lavender oil, but Etizolam was only 25% better.

Don't know what i should think about that that they told me. But want to told to others.

He had got Lorazepam (Clinic prefer Valium, but SWIM like Lorazepam more) to quit his Benzodiazepine-Consume now, and was on a good way since he's clean since 26.11. (They kicked off very straight). CK ans ASAT falls straight under hydration and are now on 12k / 120. Lets see was time will happen.
And i forgot, the best thing: He had got a amnesia of the most for about the last 6 Weeks.
And forgot also: He had took 2mg Etizolam for about 1 year.

overuse of etizolam and lavender oil causes massive elevation in liver creatine kinase & resulting neurological problems

etizolam should not behepatotoxic though, not any moreso than any other benzos...

I bet lavender oil is a GABA-B agonist.GABA-B agonists will potentiate any *zams like a motherfucker. You can dose something that affects GABA-B for a while (neurontin is a good example of this) and it will be fine and dandy, and then dose a benzo or alcohol (hours later in cases) , 5-10x effects and you are out cold!

Heatshock proteins will do the same to your liver and the liver damage is probally downstreams effects from the being unconcious (not breathing) in hot water. I think the raised creatine values are a sign of this.

Analagous example was a friend was taking 1600mgs of neurontin for about 3 days. Then 1 beer later that night- can't stand up after that and couldn't drive for the next 4.

Oils are strong!

The switching between "SWIM", "she", "he", and "me" is confusing and unnecessary, and we don't use SWIM here anyway. Also I think it's hard to understand because perhaps English is not the OP's first language, and they are using a lot of medical terms.

Let me see if I can translate, as far as I understand (I'll use "he" to make things easier):

He had been taking 2mg etizolam/day for about a year and taking 1 Lasea lavender oil capsule/day.

On Nov 21st he woke up with headache, blurred vision and yellow eyes. He took 50mg ER tilidine (an opioid) hoping it would help, which he usually takes for headaches. Then he went to have a bath and didn't wake up until 3 days later, in the hospital, sweaty, disoriented and with large pupils. He had been in the hospital for 3 days after having been found in the bathtub having a cerebral seizure.

He was told the ER doctor initially thought it was just a drug intoxication, and had given him 10mg of diazepam for the seizures, which didn't help. I'm not sure what he's saying about the lab tests, but I think he meant the lab tests only detected alcohol, tilidine and etizolam.

While he was in the ER his creatine kinase levels were tested (an important enzyme which is assayed in blood tests as a marker of things like heart attack, severe muscle breakdown, or acute renal failure). I think he is saying his creatine kinase level was 27000 units/L, and normal levels are supposed to be under 190 units/L so his was extremely high. Different countries use different symbols for the decimal mark and for the mark that is sometimes placed between every 3 numbers in order to make it clearer, I suspect the OP lives somewhere where commas and periods are reversed compared to North America.

He was put in the cardiac guard unit, because the doctors feared his heart might stop (which did happen 3 times) and that his liver and kidneys might fail. The creatine kinase rose up to 58000 and the ASAT (aspartate transaminase, aka AST, a biomarker for liver injury) rose up to 520 (not sure what measurement they are using but either way that is high) after 3 days in cardiac guard unit.

He was also told he had been in a hepatic coma and had hepatic psychosis (psychosis due to poor liver function) which was treated with midazolam (a benzo) and haloperidol (an antipsychotic). He also had serious hyperthermia, with a temperature of 42.7 °C (108.86 °F) which was treated with 1.5 L of infusions (of what? saline?) per hour and external cooling over the 3 days.

The CK and ASAT levels then fell somewhat with the hydration, and the hyperthermia also improved. He was discharged from the hospital 5 days after being admitted.

The lab said they tested the influence of etizolam and Lasea capsules of lavender oil (which he had been taking daily) on the creatine kinase (CK) function of the liver and told him that etizolam and lavender oil were toxic for the liver - especially the lavender oil, but etizolam was only 25% less harmful.

He got lorazepam to taper off his benzo habit, and is doing well since he's been clean (presumably he means clean from the etizolam and not all benzos) since the day he left the hospital. His CK and ASAT levels have improved but are still high. He doesn't remember much of the last 6 weeks. He's not sure what to make of all this but thought it was important to tell others.

My conclusions:
I am not really sure what to make of all this either. The warning is that long-term use of etizolam and Lasea lavender oil capsules may have caused serious health problems such as a massive elevation in creatine kinase blood levels and resulted in neurological and organ problems, and that the lab said these substances were toxic to the liver.

Lasea capsules contain lavender oil with a high amount of linalool and linalyl acetate, and are approved as an anxiolytic in Germany.

But there is so much going on and it is not entirely clear. It is unclear if the etizolam was pure or could have been some internet-purchased etizolam with who knows what in it (although no extra drugs were detected in the blood tests). I don't understand precisely what he means about the lab saying etizolam and Lasea capsules were both "poisonous" to the liver, that's kind of vague. In addition, if he had a blood alcohol content of 0.1 when he reached the hospital, that is something that could be a factor, he doesn't say how much he normally drinks though, and as far as I understand alcoholic liver disease usually causes lowered CK. And he was also taking the tilidine (not sure how often), and says he can't remember much of the past 6 weeks so I don't know whether the doses he said he was taking of etizolam and Lasea are correct, or if he used anything else, or had any other health problems. I guess the bottom line is to be very careful with etizolam and with lavender oil?
