****WARNING:**** 3-FPM Mixup with Ephenidine

Long story short, I ordered a 5 gram sample of 3-fpm from a place where you can buy reseach chemicals in the UK, and it turned out to be ephenidine. The company concerned have said they will be recalling all the 3-fpm they have sold recently, so you should get an email if you are affected (and if you didn't notice already!)

Thankfully it was obvious from the get-go that it wasn't the right stuff because it was totally insoluble in water. Also luckily the two compounds are of about the same dosage level. Just goes to point out the necessity of testing each batch!

from the silk road days using clever euphemistic phrases like velvet pathway that would only mean anything to those already in the know would be acceptable. So was the vendors second word something that sounds a bit like one of those dodgy pyramid investment schemes?

Well my phrase certainly hasnt been very clever, hope it's not too obvious either. However, the only thing that really matters is would anyone who hasn't already heard of this vendor be able to guess it from that paragraph? I dont think so.

I bought some 3-fpm the other day. ordered 1g, got 5g... Can't remember which i got it off, either my normal or the guys ^. Will they definitely email if it is wrong? Is solubility a reliable test to see if they have cocked up or nah?

Solubility in water is a reliable test with 3F. At least, 3F is 100% water soluble (and with indecent haste too) and ephenidine isn't.

A certain vendor in the UK where you can buy research chemicals has seriously gone to shit and nobody should be using them. Sending out wrongly labelled drugs, mixing new legal drugs with old stock banned drugs, not updating their front page from April...stinks of taking the money and running. To think they were once the most trusted RC vendor is a joke.
