Most psychedelics seem to have a tendency for excessive PNS stimulation, IME. Muscle tension is increased, as is heart rate, breathing seems tweaked, yawning and stretching occurs excessively, etc.

Try warmer clothing for a remedy. It seems to calm everything down, consistently. My theory is that, because it's harder for your body to get rid of heat, the body relaxes, in an attempt to avoid generating excessive thermal energy. This provides a nice counterbalance to the apparent PNS stimulation of psychedelics.

Obviously, be careful not to overheat. Clothe within reason, and in accordance with the weather, etc.

I like the theory, The problem i can see with it personally is that when I'm tripping I do end up feeling really hot and sweating heaps and so rip off any heavy clothing and end up in a tee shirt or naked, writhing around on my bed, screaming in terror, chanting in urdu or elf speak with one leg thrown behind my head, eyes rolling, hair standing on end ! Warm clothing under these conditions would not be much of a help.

I like the theory too. My problem is I don't think I realize whether I'm too hot or cold until it is too late. I'll find myself getting so hot it'll make me nauseous, and I'll have to rip my clothes off and splash myself with cold water. Then I'll proceed to lay on the cold bathroom floor. If only I'd have realized sooner. Or, I won't realize how cold I am until my fingers feel like they're going to fall off and the shivers are uncontrollable. Magic mushrooms seem to like your theory too. I always have the biggest urge to find the best seat in the house and wrap myself in a giant comforter, no matter the weather. I think one of the best plans of action is to know your set and setting. Know the weather. Dress appropriately. And if you're one of those people who're always cold or always hot, make sure you can compensate. Anyways, happy travels and be safe!
