Hey all,

So, to make long story shorter, I was in an accident, prescribed pain meds. Got addicted 7 years ago. I got clean and stayed clean for 2 years. Just 4 months ago I got the Dr. to put me back on dilaudid, and time release hydromorphone. For the last 5 weeks I have been banging. I started out with only 4-8mgs at a time. Now Im up to 24mgs in the morning, and 12-18mgs every 4-6 hours. I need to get off this shit before it ruins me.

I can admit Im addicted again, but I dont really think about the drug every 24/7, and I have a good job, and I still function well.

I need a war strategy. I bought 100 Dihydrocodeine tablets, and 60 Serax(Oxazepam) tablets. Im out of my own scripts for thenext 13 days, so I will need to buy my dilaudid and hydromorph contin. Not a problem. I got the DHC to switch to once Im finally off the hydromorphone, and I got the serax for anxiety/sleep.

I dont know if I should just keep injecting and taper my dose, or just start taking orally. I think I would have a really tough time going to oral, and due to bio-availability and tolerance, would have o be buying a massive amount. What should I do??? I need to get this skeleton back in the closet.:!

You could switch to plugging/snorting, because IV dilaudid is very short lasting and rushy whereas plugged/insuffalated dilaudid doesn't have even close to as much as a rush and lasts for 3-6 hours instead of 1. That's all the advice I can give since I've never had to quit a very large opiate habit, but good luck.
