Ok, over my years I have used just about EVERY BRAND of syringe out there.... well, lets have a WAR OF THE RIGS!
B&D 1cc 29g 'Ultra-Fine'
My personal vote - The Becton & Dickson, 29g 'Ultra-Fine' (1cc) syringe .... no shots please, I like the long needle so I can fish around for those veins deep below the surface...
This is not just a syringe - it's a WORK OF ART! I ALWAYS inspect my new rigs and I have had only a FEW (less then 10 out of over 2,000) that had burs - this is the biggest problem ... but looking past that - you get a wonderfull tool.... that nice rear end cap is PERFECT for holding enough fluid for your entire procedure ... the plunger slids SO EASILY in the barrel and the constructon is good... overall the needle will stay good and sharp for about 3 uses,at which point you best just toss them or sell them to ravers .. I only use mine once or twice but junkies favor B&D as you can use them many times before it's actually so dull it hurts....
Loading is easy - unlike another brand I will discuss you have good suction so you can draw up all your fluid with one, slow drag on the plunger...
The actually breaking of the skin - it feels like I was tickeled by a hot girl with a feather between her toes! Yes, if you're not a total idiot the 29g rig can be used andyou caneasily forget you're supposed to feel something!
I give the B&D 1cc 29g
'Ultra-Fine' Single Use Insulin Syringe a perfect 10 rating! Fuck a 10-pack, got for a box of 100.... it's fun shooting dope, it's even more fun with this syringe!
Walgreens 29g 1cc Syringe
The second syringe I will review is the Walgreens brand 29g 1cc Single Use Insulin Syringe ... these fair decent but thre are some issues - first off, they just started packaging them without the end caps but each in it's own wrapper .. the problem? Well shit, yer mom might wonder why you have 20 wrappers in your trashcan that say "Single use insulin syringe" .. without thta endcap you need something to hold fluid in - not a BIG PROBLEM but it CAN BE if yer fixing on the road or in a public restroom (I do NOT ENDORSE SHOOTING UP IN GAS STATION RESTROOMS!) .. the needles are CLEARLY not made of a surgical steal to the same degree the Becton & Dickson ones are as these bull after you use them twice - I mean, to poke and suddenly that third one HURTS .. probably not goodf for the veins.... the biggest problem is that you don't have the good 'suction' you do with the B&D's - that is, even though yer sucking up water from your resivour to prep, you end up getting a lot of air and often have to "flip and flick" then draw again...
The breaking point? When I had tow of them 'jam' - there was no particle in the rig, but something lodged itself in the path of the needle - the first time I thought it might havebeen a particle, but the secondtime it happened when I was drawing up saline directly from my phgarmacy bottle - NO PARTICLES .. suddenly the pluger wont push down, I mean, I had ti use fucking FORCE before you get several sprays in difefernt directions .. someone said it's actually plastic from the placement of the needle (they crimp the end of the syringe around the needle, the idea is some plastic gets lose) ... FEAR NOT! The one time this happened whe I had a 'hot rig' I simply removed the plunger and drew all the fluid out, put it in another rig and went about my way ..
I give these bastard factories a 4 out of 10 - they are cheap but they SUCK .. scratch that, they get a 3 out of 10, the fact that they 'jam' coukld lead to someonebeing really rough and collapsing a vein!
Of course these are the cheapest of them all - a box of 100 for $13 ... then again, out of the first 10 I used, 2 had burs... I still have about 85 of these in my closet ..
B&D 27g 1cc Syruinge with removable Needle
For some reason I like these... yeah, 27g is a bit large and it's best to always use totally new gear - but these, let the Ultra-Fines, have such SMOOTH ACTION ... even with such a large needle it's like a kiss from an angel ... most everything said about the first B&D rigs can be said about these - the differences? They come packed in singles, no end cao, and the needle is removable... they then sell boxes of 100 needles for like $4.78 ... so as long as you clean the rig out good each time, these bring the B&D quality to you at a price any junky can afford!
As a side note - so far, ZERO BURS! These needles are of the HIGHEST QUALITY as well .. of course they dont dull as easy because they are larger, but you can get 3-5 shots and you can hardly feel it slip in (a lot like sex with me, you dont know it's in until I'm done with the injetion!)
Welp, thats it for my reviews.. I have used MANY, MANY, MANY others but I cant think of any off hand .... does anyone else have anything to add?
