want to gain weight

I've written a piece on maintaining weight for heavy stimulant users - as I said above, you (general you, meaning almost everyone) will find it hard to gain or lose weight outside of your 'set point' window, but increasing calories and doing some weight building exercise might get you to the upper end of that set point.

If you can afford Sustagen or protein powder, chucking some of that into a really heavy smoothie (full cream milk, yoghurt, fruit, oats, even nuts) once or twice a day will add calories without you feeling like you're constantly gorging. If you can't afford the protein powders, even adding milk powder to milk gives you a calorie and protein boost.

There's a lot of conflicting ideas about the best way to lift weights in order to gain - I'd recommend making an appointment with an exercise physiologist or at least a personal trainer to get an idea of what will work to build muscle on your body.
