Wake-up Call

When your life gets so dark you cant see
Open your eyes and stop thinking of me
If you don't open your heart now when will you
Take a look around you and see what you can do
Give a little of yourself to someone in need
If you help someone else it may plant a seed
Maybe they will do the same and be changed
Our world is in dire need to be re-arranged
It's crying for our help but most are to deaf to hear
Our oceans pollution raises year after year
Why wait for the forests to be deserts to act
Take a stand for your home it's time to react
Sell your car and remember how to walk
Donate to a cause and help it spark
A change in you , me and the rest of us
If you have to travel far take a bus
We need to change the way we live our lives
Without doing so the Earth wont survive
It's about time for us to wake up
If we wait any longer it may be to late

I've been thinking lately that the real problem is overpopulation. So we need either a major die off, or a techno-explosion culminating in the colonization of other planets. I still have some faith in conservation though...
