We will be heading to the west coast for vacation this year and will be starting off in seattle for 5 days. Can anyone recommend any good hotels? Not looking for luxury boutique hotels or anything like that. Just something centrally located, we hate driving. Also, what sort of attractions should we put on our must see list? We love electronics music, is there a decent amount of clubs and events to choose from at any given time?

How do the marijuana laws work for an outsider? Do we need to be a resident to purchase? Will we have a hard time finding legal places to smoke?

Hey there man, glad to hear a fellow Bluelighter will be taking a trip to my home state. Currently there are not any retail cannabis stores open, and to get any herb at a medical dispensary a person needs to be a washington state resident with id and a doctor permit. The selection of herb and hash though is really nice if you look hard enough you will find some. If there are retail cannabis locations open when you do arrive then you will be able to purchase nugs WITHOUT a doctor permit and you will NOT need to be a state resident either, just be at least 21.

As far as Hotels go I am not sure but there should be lots to choose from. And I'm not really up on the electronic scene these days but I am pretty sure we still have some good events on the weekends. Any more questions let me know!=D

There's almost always some good events going on around here, although you do need to look to find ones that will really be worth going to.

A lot of the tourist attractions in Seattle are pretty lame (just like in any other city..). The Space Needle can be worth a visit but I'd probably try and keep to things more suited for the locals if you really want to get a feel for the city. There's "Seattle", and then there's Seattle. Go to Seattle. ;D

I tried to make a thread like this on Spokane but the mods thought I was looking for drugs and closed it.
Anyone from eastern part of WA or familiar with it have suggestions for cool things to see or do in area? I know its a small city, but I was hoping I won't be stuck hanging out in country/western bar for entertainment.

Spokane huh? Go hit the buckin bronco saloon! Joking of course, east of the mountains is def a different vibe but it is still pretty chill. Not a whole lot to do there though.
