Ive just been diagnosed with adhd. Ive been to numerious Phyc. doctors. Been with the one I have now since 2005.
At first I had been diagnosed with Bypolar. Welbutrin, Lamictal and hydroxizine have been the meds that have helped
out. Now that ive been diagnosed with adhd.Ive been getting Vyvanse for the last three months. First month was 30 mil.
capsuls. Second month was 40 mil. Im on SSD somy meds for the most part are paid for.Except a small copay. On the
third month my script for vyvanse was denide by my Prescription drug plan. It seems vyvanse is one of the drugs not on
my formulary. My Phyc. Dr. has to fill out an acceptance form. To the Drug plan company to make an acception.
There are three generics I can take instead. Amphetamine salt combo tab, Dextroamphetamine sulfate capsule extended
release, Methylphenidate ER tab. I have"nt been on any pharmasutical stimulants. Vyvanse is the first.I personally like it.
It takes about an hour to kick in. But it lasts for 10-12 hours. I can also go to sleep.It works wellfor me. Its like a light has
been turned on in my head. I can comprehend, consintrate, focus, begin and complete tasks. I wish I had been diagnosed
years ago.I would have probably done better in school. But cant trip on what could have been. It is what it is. I see my Phyc.
Dr.at the end of the month. She likes vyvanse because its tamper proof. We will let her believe that to. If I wanted to get a
buzz then it wouldnt be from vyvanse. Id just go get a bag. Im cool with all that though. Imhoping My insurance will ok vyvanse.
If not I hope my Dr.will let me try one of the three I mentioned. She is hesitant on the others because of my being an ex addict. All I know is since ive been on an adhd medication. atleast this one has actually improved my life.
