Vomited After Consuming Tussionex, Is It Still In My System?

I drink two ounces of tussionex then like an hour or two later, drink another ounce. I was feeling pretty good, then about an hour or more after ingesting my last ounce I threw up a lot. I'm not wonder if its out of my system, I'm hoping it should be adsorbed but it has the time released matrix intended to last 12 hours, now I'm really worried that since I through up I can kiss the time released matter that was in my body good bye.

Thoughts?

Usually when people throw up on opioids it's due to activation of certain parts of the brain that control vomitting which happens only once the drug is absorbed. A possibility is you activated these receptors during your first opioid dosage, causing you to vomit your second opioid dosage.

My guess though is that didn't happen since your second dosage was far from your first dosage and you only threw up your second dosage an hour after ingestion. You probably forced the activation of these receptors with your second dosage meaning it was absorbed.

I wonder if throwing up after my last dose, cancels out the remaining time release in my body?

I do feel high, pupils are small....could be from the first dose or the second, I definitely was feeling the second dose but I question if I absorbed it all in the time frame prior to throwing up,

I'm not exactly sure on the pharmacokinetics of tissuenex but since its an opioid I would guess that its designed to only get dissolved once it reaches the liver and detects the liver ph. In that case you would have most likely vomitted once it started getting metabolized by your liver making it unlikely that you've defeated the time-release.

no it doesnt. its in your blood, not in your stomach, perhaps in your intestines and being worked through there. if youve absorbed the drug or taken it past your stomach then vomitting is too late to help you. i mean it's always worth a shot, but the chances are its too late.
