Voice has gone really deep and raspy (EQ/Test E cycle)

Hi,

I'm currently on week 16 of a 17 week AAS cycle. I ran EQ and Test E at 600mg and 375mg respectively for 15 weeks, as well as Anavar at 75mg/day for the first 40 days. Right now I'm finishing with a final 2 weeks of Test E at 250mg/week (doing this because Test E has a shorter half life than EQ).

I've noticed a few side effects but nothing major/worrying. Mostly just common stuff: oily skin, more body hair and increased aggression. Then, about 3 weeks ago, I noticed my voice starting to change. Since then it's been getting progressively deeper and raspier (it was deep to begin with but now I sound like a British Barry White lol). I strongly suspect it's the androgens... I haven't had any illnesses or throat injuries recently, so I can't think what else it could be. But what confuses me is that "deepening of the voice" is not listed as a potential side effect of AAS usage in eugonadal adult males (I'm 26, male and in good health).

Anyone else on here experienced this??? Is it permanent?

Thanks.

Hey AA357. For any male over about 18 years, that's an extremely unusual side-effect.

The fact that it's happened on a cycle with a discernably low androgenic component and minimal DHT conversion does make me wonder whether what you're experiencing is genuinely thickening of the vocal cords, or perhaps instead some pseudo-effect from a mild infection, or maybe even a reduction in sympathetic nervous system tone (ie the lower your stress/adrenaline, the more relaxed the vocal cords become and the deeper and richer the sound).

To be honest though, sounding like Barry White must be one of the best 'negative' side-effects I've ever heard of lol. You'll need a baseball bat to keep the ladies away ;)

Just be happy this is a side effect. My voice is the same as it was my senior year of high school, and I've blasted many tren/mast/test cycles. Maybe you're just a late bloomer and AAS sped it up.

Could you perhaps do a recording of your voice? Preferably covering a Barry White song. Not only would that be hilarious, we could also get an idea about how low your voice really is.

How low can you go?
