Visuals from weed?

Hi guys,

Just kinda wandered, the other night, I went outside for a smoke, and experienced some pretty funky visuals when I went to bed.. has anyone else had this?.

It wasnt anything over the top (like rabbits eating pigs, or crazy stuff like that), it was like a lime green grid, on a black background, with flashing red dots, orbited by weird little triangles? :).

Thats all really, I just wandered if anyone else has experienced anything similar?. Its some decent green, and I think next time, I wont use quite so much!.

i get closed eye visuals every time i get stoned. they are usually very faint but just pronounced enough to be entertaining. i see patterns and stuff, similar to what you described. why are there no pretty patterns to look at when i'm sober?
 
I have only once had significant hallucinations from Cannabis - but they were incredibly intense.

I had barely smoked for a few weeks while travelling, and the last time before that I had smoked was really crap hash that did very little for me.

So I stop over in Amsterdam for a couple of hours and have just enough time to go into town from the airport and get high - have some food and then go back.

I smoked a big spliff of the best weeds at Homegrown Fantasy in a single joint, and totally lost my grounding in reality. I saw intense open eye visuals of cartoon characters running around and spinning in circles as the morphed into all kinds of weird shit. This went on for god knows how long, me sitting and laughing and pointing at the wall, everyone thinking: "Tourist..."

Basically, weed is a psychedelic. As rare as it is for this to happen, you can hallucinate from it under the right circumstances. I've never experienced anything even close to that insane trip I had trying to find my way back to Schiphol with cartoon hippos laughing at me =D

I myself have never had a hallucination on weed, minus one time-where I had a sort of hallucination

I was in Amsterdam and I spent part of the day trippin on shrooms (thai), which I found to be weak, but still something. Later in the day my friend and I pulled into a bar and pulled out our northern lights. He hates tobacco and until then I had always spliffed our joints. He insists on doing pure weed (I bet you guys can see what is comming) because he wants to taste the sweet smoke and not deal with tobacco. So I reluctantly oblige.

Large joint of pure northern lights. We smoke it between us, and realizing what its going to do to me I tap out before its finished. We walked around the streets and eventually went into a mc Donalds to grab somethin to eat, or sit down because I was freaking out, I cant remember. Inside the mcdonalds my vision was so fucked up, the world looked sorta distorted and like there was a strobe light on, like flashing light.

Needless to say it was fucked up. I had been too high TONS of times, but never that high, not even on DXM plus weed.
 
I always get CEVs when im stoned. Sometimes ill be able to see translucent open-eye patterns as well. Theyre a lot like the ones you described. Also when my eyes are open, there will be "static" little multicolored pixels over my field of vision, so everything looks fuzzy.
 
I have gotten slight visuals once. I had taken some time off smoking (more than 2 weeks) and then I started back up and I smoked a lot, it wasn't dank, just regular, but I had 3 bubblers, a steam roller, and a joint. I hadn't be that high for a long time. I had some patterns. But when we were outside (late at night in the dark) My friend turned on his lighter and moved it across and the line stayed there, for awhile. It was like it had been drew there. So we did it many more times, until I started to come down. It was very cool, but if you want alot of visuals try LSD or Shrooms.
 
The only intensely visual experience i've ever had was when smoking weed after eating 11 hawaiian baby woodrose seeds. Two hours after ingestion i didn't feel a single thing, not nausea, not discomfort, not stoned or even buzzing! One joint later and i was fractaling everything eyes open or closed! Just fractals overlaid on everything. The ground looked like a city, looking at the sky transported me centuries into the past. Sounds and everything became reinterpreted as visual stimuli. The thoughts weren't as complex as LSA alone, my body was intact unlike mushrooms, and i wasn't locked into the experience like DXM, just in complete awe of everything i stared at. The weed was just a complete blastoff.
 
I get alot of CEVs and some OEVs especially at night. For quite some time after my first LSD experience, I had a hard time finding people that got visuals from Cannabis alone. I have had some pretty intense ones too. ..I mean nothing like I've had with some of the stronger psychedelics, but they are quite unique. They seem to be alot like these posts describe. If you want to intesify them, listen to music, especially music that you have memories attached too. I found that imagination, memories, and sound have alot to do with visuals on any psychedelic. I actually can get mild visuals while sober now too. I have to use my imagination alot, but I can entertain myself with them.
 
Hmm, isn't it a coincidence morrison and trippinspirals had insane visuals in amsterdam from smoking only a little bit of weed, haha, yeah, right... Said enough, our quality is superior 8), however, it takes a great deal of marijuana to make me have oev's, I always have cev's, only notice them if I pay attention though. Mostly little blobs of random colours floating behind my eyes, never saw actual noticeable patterns from smoking, they're too chaotic if there are any there. If I smoke the right amount, that means a lot, the only "oev's" I'd have would be a strange glow to the world, lights are brighter, colors are a little bit more pronounced, if you smoke very much, the world starts spinning slightly, but that's all..

Most people exaggerate their visuals however, for instance, people claiming to see gnomes or fairies smoking weed, etc.. I think this is just strong imagination or trying to look cool for some people, who knows, I dunno, what were we talking about?? man i'm stoned =D

This one time I was driving home and I swear I saw a dog cross the road right in front of my car.
When I looked back it was just a garbage can rolling across of the road.

Blowmonkey, I can see where you get that people exaggerate their visuals. However, sometimes imagination is a big part of visuals. I have definite pattern and kaleidoscopic visuals with Cannabis, though they aren't nearly as awesome as those from the stronger psychedelics. One thing I see quite frequently coming from imagination is thinking of Mickey Mouse and then seeing his face spin into the colorful patterns, then multiply, change size, shape, and color, and spin around at different rates and such. ..Hard to explain.
 
Yes, I know, hallucinations go hand in hand with imagination and in my opinion setting plays a great role in it too. For example, if you're in a dark room it is easier to hallucinate than in full daylight, at least, for me anyways. So much things influence hallucinations/visuals. But if someone says he just saw an elve walking down the street with a snicker bar in his arse he's just looking for attention imo. :p

I have had some very intense visuals from weed. It was the first time I ever hit my two foot bong. I bought a party bowl for it, which held about a gram of weed, then I used one of those butane lighters to light it. OH SHIT was i high! Not only was I getting visuals but I was thinkin some crazy shit.

Right after we smoked we were going to our local diner and I had to pee real bad. Well I kept thinkin about it and I swear to god I felt myself piss my pants... They felt dry but I could feel droplets running down my leg? It was crazy.. I told my friends and all 5 of them assured me I didn't piss myself. As for the visuals, it was almost like shrooms.. things were "melting" and people looked like cartoons. Crazy shit man.. and i'll never live down thinking I pissed myself to my friends. but you know, good times.
 
Just because weed was just taken out of the Psychedelic Forum, doesn't mean it ain't pschedelic! ;-)

Different strains can make you more sensative to hallucinating than others, but I've gotten visuals off even non potent weed. Mostly CEV, but I have got some interesting warpings and patterns and even straight out hallucinations (like shadow people running past or dark objects flying around), off some good hydro.
 
I used to trip out on weed. One particular night, I smoked a joint of skunk by myself. I laid down and closed my eyes, and was still seeing monsters. hehe Now it just makes me paranoid. Anybody else out there notice weed not doing what it used to? I can go months without and then smoke and only get kinda high. I miss being stoned

That sounds almost exactly like the shit I saw in Amsterdam - except it was some kind of eerily familiar cartoon hippo that it started out as - then seemed to cycle through cartoon characters (none of which I actually recognized - I think).

I have never before or since had anything even close to that on weed...

I should add that a long break from any kind of cannabis products and a lot of sleep deprivation (I had just come from very exhausting travels in the Middle East and not slept at all for a day or two) both contributed greatly to that incident. I have often smoked up a lot more in Amsterdam and just been properly stoned - no hippos in sight =D

I have had really intense visuals after smoking a decent amount. Although i was still a pot newb at the time...the visuals were very intense. I stared at the aluminum siding on my friends garage for about 20 minutes before I realized i was about to pass out, it was like a disney movie in a kaleidescope, good times =)
