I wasn't sure exactly where to post this so please feel free to move it to the proper thread. Basically, I've been suffering from visual snow and other random visual disturbances. I've been to five doctors, including my primary care physician, nuero-ophthalmologist, ophthalmologist, neurologist, radiologist, and optometrist. I've also recently had a full brain MRI done. Everythings normal, the MRI, my physical, my eyes, etc. No one has been able to explain nor give me any insight as to how I developed these issues or how to solve the problem. I've done some online reading and I've tried several remedies suggested...such as diet changes, hydration, vitamins, ph pills, etc. Nothing has worked. On topic of this site, I have done a lot of drugs in the past, only occassionally now, but considering all of my medical testing has come back fine I don't think that has anything to do with my problems. I do have Generalized Anxiety Disorder but that just makes me more aware of the visual disturbances, not exaggerate them. Does anyone else suffer from visual snow/static, hppd, or any other unexplainable vision issues? Any suggestions as to the etiology of my symptoms or advice on alleviating this? Any response is appreciated. I'm at a loss here and I'm so frustrated. Thank you.

this thread will prbly get moved to HL or TDS but anyhows...

how often and at what dosages have you taken psychedelics in the past

do you get squiggles in your vision (tracers) at all as well?

sounds like HPPD, which i think lessens in intensity over time and results from abuse of psychedelics (acid/2c-x etc )

Does it get stronger when you are worried or overwhelmed? If so, its a defense mechanism in your brain. Try meditating or getting calm and focused and see if it decreases. If not, its HPPD, which can be fixed.

Migraines in some cases can cause visual blurring or distortions without causing an actual headache. If these episodes come and go on a seeming random basis this might be a possible explanation not yet considered.

Second Opinion --> Healthy Living (Should get you more replies there.)

Hey guys thanks for the replies thus far. It happens 24/7, doesn't come and go. The docs first thought it could be migraines without infraction, but even those don't stay consistent. Anxiety was another suggestion but no one has prescribed me something that's aiated my symptoms yet. I do seem to notice it more when I'm anxious or overwhelemed, bit I think that's just a perceptual thing and I'm co.sciously aware that that's what happening when it does. As far as drugs, I've done acid once in my life. I did do mephedrone quite a bit but its been probably over two years now since I've touched the stuff. Visual snow is just the main symptom that has a name that I can tell people, I mean corners also shake, rooms also look wavy at times, and sunlight does awful things to my rods and cones. I'm really a chill.and laid back person and try not to become overwhelmed about these things but it is difficult when this has been happening for a whole ans never goes away.

I get a fair bit of HPPD, word of honest advice, forget about meds.
Even to this day I cant look at a grid pattern or radiator without seeing the "wobbles"
Docs dont know anything about this condition and you dont really want them to know about your history of Psychedelic use (At least I dont)

Meditation will clear out a lot of the junk in your mind. For me its like my Tinnitus, just learned to live with it and not focus on it

Wobbles is a good way to describe it. I was honest with the Neuro opthomalogist and told him about my one time LSD use, nothing else though. You're probably right though, I probably will just have to learn to not focus on it. Don't really have a choice. I appreciate all of your responses.
