I picked this up late last week and have been thoroughly enjoying it. It seems like some of the levels can be pretty tricky at times, evoking the frustrated Mario-itis feeling I remember from my childhood. It's hard not to crane your neck on some of the levels.

I highly recommend it if you're looking for a new Wii game to try.

I bought it Friday and played this last night for the first time.

As I said in the resident evil thread...it makes me dizzy at times and when I was done playing I felt as though I still needed to turn my head as though I was upside down lol. Its definitely a neat game!

It is really good. I'm glad they held it up and made it incredible instead of rushing it out and leaving us with another half ass Wii game.

Mario has always been one of my favorite series. This is top tier.

i've been looking forward to this for over a year. any day now....

Here's what I said about it in another thread: "a true solid-gold classic. Lives up to the legacy of Mario64, & in my opinion surpasses it. Endlessly inventive, expertly crafted, & effortlessly playable, it proves yet again, that when it comes down to it, no-one creates games quite like Nintendo at their best."

It's fantastic.

I just watched the ign video review and OMG!!

Seems like Nintendo are back to true form. I've been waiting for this I haven't even played a Wii yet so I'll get Mario and Zelda when I do.

As I was initially playing it I was wondering how far they could take their ideas for levels and they keep one-upping themselves the further you go in the game. It is a sheer joy to play.

wow

just wow.

i've only got my first three stars and i'm already stunned. it's beautiful, amazingly designed and so very playable.

My best friend has had this for quite some time now.. thank you internet =) and having a modded Wii is nice =)

I'm almost done with it.. just got to the top level of the ship

WOOOOO

I haven't been able to devote my full time to this (damn you uni work) but 've really enjoyed it so far.

This game kicks incredible amounts of ass. This will get game of the year hands down I think. Bioshock and a few others are excellent in their own rights...but Super Mario Galaxy is pure, gaming bliss.

I've been reading up on this a bit, is it as groundbreaking as Mario 64 or is it actually as fun? I loved playing that Mario 64, the levels and set up were really enjoyable to work though. I remember being blown away in 5th grade the first time I saw it. Mario Sunshine on the cube was kinda disappointing. :\

There is widespread consensus as to the game's greatness all over the web, not including this thread. How much more proof do you need?

I've had the wii since day one and it hasn't done shit but collect dust. Shoulda' never traded my 360 for those O.C.'s :( DAMNIT.

As Finder said, it's perhaps the most critically acclaimed game there has ever been. Everyone who's played it (including me) attests to its sheer unbridled brilliance.

Get it! %)

my wife can't play 3d platforms for anything, BUT she enjoys being my assistant in the quasi co-op mode in galaxy. yay!
