vicodin = me sick..

about 3 weeks ago i took 15 mg of hydrocon. the generic version of vicodin. Man i got a mild like real stoned feeling but thats about it. I remember that the next day man i felt like shit. Really bad, weak, pale, etc..

Now i have read that when peeps do herion for the first time they get really sick then when they do it again its all good. Now since these are both opiates i wonder if the same rule applies for vicodin? I hear alot of peeps saying how this is such an enjoyable pharm. Just wondered about taking this again or should i just say the hell with it...

Well I have done Vicodin many times, I actually had a pretty bad addiction to it for a year.. and even now sometimes I get sick to my stomach when I take them. You could try taking a anti-nausea medication to counteract the problem, in my opinion this is the best thing.

The best thing to do the day after when you feel like shit is just take about 600mg of IBprofen, helps a great deal.

Or just say "oh well" and forget about it, cuz an opiate addiction fucking sucks! Yeah, wait till you are sick cuz you didn't get your daily dose...even moreso with opiate pharms (especially lower grade ones like vicoden) cuz your liver ALSO dies in the process from all that fucking APAP...yeah, probably not likely to happen, as most people who just "try" pharmacutical opiates don't have as high of a rate of addiction compared to those who "try out" heroin...just thought i'd add that point of view (and so if the slightest chance a year from now you post saying how your an opiate addict i can link to this thread and say told you so, haha j/k)...

The sick you get from heroin is much different than a sick from Vicodin -- with smack, you hit up, you throw up. And then everything's ok. I don't know why the Vicodin would be making you feel the way you've been feeling -- maybe a sensitivity to APAP? Or are you drinking with it?

Also gotta echo what RobbyRob said -- I also had an addiction to pharmaceutical opiates -- and it was awful. The withdrawal SUCKS -- and being a slave to your daily fix isn't so great either.

Im still a bit new to vicodins, but after taking them for a week, the hangovers seems to nonexistant and I dont feel sick or nauseated anymore. However what you might want to do is to take the vikes a while before you go to sleep, say when you start coming down, so the next day affects wont be so bad. Just a theory =P

*gag* I hate Vicoden. If I do take it I have to take like 1/2 or 1/4 of a pill. When I take a whole pill, I get really sweatly, and feverish feeling, and I puke. Don't know why....

I personally have never threw up from vicodins but I only take like 1 or 1 & 1/2 at most. If I go to the movies one 7.5mg pill is usually enough when combined with some booze and weed. The felling is pretty fantastic. I could see a problem developing if I had unlimited access to this wonderful substance though.

I come across 'em sporadically so I dont even use the stuff once a week which = extremly low tolerance.

Allergy?

Maybe it could be a slight allergy to the hydrocodone? i don't know i take these things all the time and every once in awhile you'll get a weird reaction or feel really shot out the next day. I'd take three with some pepto next time and see what you get cuz the euphoric feeling while still being completely functional is what's so great about Vic's.
