my g/f has been taking vicodin for severe stomach pain, and has recently developed what seems to bbe a nasty allergy which is giving her bloodshot eyes and a bit of eye swelling.
just wondering if it is safe to give her both the hydrocodone and the antihistabs, which contain
Pseudoephedrine and triprolidine.
Thanks in advance

1)This type of question belongs in the Health forum.
2) Yes, you can give your gf some triprolidine/p-ephed. However, don't give her too much, especially if she is taking a lot of vicodin, as the antihistamine + opiate combo is likely to be quite sedative, and too much sedation could eventually lead to respiratory failure. Give her one tab and see how she feels. Also, if she is having an allergic reaction to the hydrocodone or another ingredient in the vicodin, this is NOT GOOD! She shoudl call her doctor immediately and see if she can be switched to another pain killer. Does she normally have this sort of reaction to vicodin or opiates?

1) Yeah, i realized it should've gone to Health Q&A as soon as i clicked "submit" :( sorry
i'm pretty sure the reaction isn't to the vicodin, as the eye problem has happened before, just this time it's gotten a bit more severe.
Thanks much for the advice, I'll keep a close watch on her :)
