Viagra Protects Against MDMA "neurotoxicity"

There could be increased cardiotoxicity from the combination, sildenafil messes with the heart at least a bit, http://www.touchcardiology.com/arti...administration-sildenafil-citrate-case-report

Though, apparently there is little risk of arrythmia from sildenafil alone http://www3.interscience.wiley.com/journal/118849154/abstract?CRETRY=1&SRETRY=0

And, we all know, MDMA is a cardiostimulant, so there is probably an increased risk of heart problems from the combo than either alone.

So this combination is unsafe for people with heart problems or a family history of heart problems, moreso than MDMA alone.

Hehe so it could mean you could trade an amount of neurotoxicity for cardiotoxicity lol
People prone to brain trouble take viagra with their MDMA,
People probe to cardiovascular trouble take either one alone.

Of course I'm totally kidding. But combining opposingly acting substances is always controversial, uppers and downers together don't get you right back in the middle per say, your BP and heart rate might even out but it seems you are more unbalanced and a transient reduction in one of the actions could make you wobble and what not. Bad idea disguised as an OK one (funny coming from someone who likes a pinch of benzo with his modafinil)...

I got this question from a drug information institute in Holland, I'm in an information team and they can call me for advanced questions. Though I admit on this subject I'm lacking.
There was also talk about poppers / amyl nitrite and other nitrites.

Once upon a time these nitrites were used as a medicine for angina but if you have that viagra and MDMA are a bad idea.

Why do you think so? The abstract in post #1 suggested something different (at least with respect to MDMA). Do you have reasons to think so (if yes, please share them with us).?- Murphy

Probably the interaction re vasodilators & catecholamine releasers. Not sure how much cardiovascular stress that could cause; not going to find out either (MDMA produces hideous depression in me).

Also, because it's true for rats don't mean it's so for humans (cites MPTP neurotoxicity as an example). Not wishing to be a party pooper, just my twopennethworth! :)
