SWIM tested some unknown white powder, sold as MD* at a rave, after having ingested it and having felt almost no effect (very mild MD-like onset). The taste was bitter.
The results SWIM got with Marquis reagent are:
- no coloration for the first 10/15 seconds
- very light brown after 30 seconds (see Figure 1)
- light brown after 1 minute (see Figure 2)
- greenish brown after 5 minutes (see Figure 3)
Can anybody help SWIM - a complete newbie at drug testing - in identifying what the chemical is?

Honestly that looks like the color of the Marquis. I don't see anything except the marquis natural color. I think you got bunk Molly. Sorry bro, the effects you felt very well might have been placebo.

Thank you for the reply!
Yeah I guess it could well have been placebo, it was very very mild.
But I am still puzzled about the coloring: my marquis is completely transparent! I tried leaving it alone for some ten minutes on a plate and it still remains transparent like water.
But it does displays some light color when poured on the substance, and it does change the hue from brownish to greenish over 5 minutes...

So do you think that is the normal color the reagent goes when mixing with anything? I shall try it with sand, or flour...
Any other hint/thought/explanation?

My marquis has always seemed to have that brownish tint to it. The last picture does appear to have a little green in it. Green indicates a 2C substance present in a pill, but this doesn't look like a 2C reaction to me. I've recently seen a test where the reagent went straight to black but then after a minute it had a green ring on the outside of the puddle. The green was very very strong were it was present. If I had a reaction like that I would post it on PillReports as no reaction. Take a look at this link it shows many different marquis reaction colors.

Yeah it cant be 2C*.
Well, I think SWIM will throw the rest away...
Thank you for the info and link!

Take care
