Versed IV?

^^^ I was wondering the same thing. Also, what aboput mixing IV Versed with antihistamines as mentioned earlier, can't that cause respiratory failure?

He said "its sodium something, its like sodium something." I dont remember exactly what he said.

Correction, with my wisdom teeth operation, all 4 of them out, I had the option of general anesthesia. With sodium pentothal/thiopental sodium and nitrous. I chose just "twilight" which is just nitrous, not general anesthesia. I don't think Versed/midazolam, or any bezno in and of itself causes much respiratory depression. I may be wrong though.

Ok enough stupidity and misinformation. IV versed does cause pronounced respiratory depression. It can easily lead to death when self-administered by individuals without proper knowledge about the drug.

I don't think Versed/midazolam, or any bezno in and of itself causes much respiratory depression. I may be wrong though

You are wrong. This is directly from rxlist:

Adults and Pediatrics: Intravenous VERSED has been associated with respiratory depression and respiratory arrest, especially when used for sedation in noncritical care settings. In some cases, where this was not recognized promptly and treated effectively, death or hypoxic encephalopathy has resulted. Intravenous VERSED should be used only in hospital or ambulatory care settings, including physicians' and dental offices, that provide for continuous monitoring of respiratory and cardiac function, ie, pulse oximetry. Immediate availability of resuscitative drugs and age- and size-appropriate equipment for bag/valve/mask ventilation and intubation, and personnel trained in their use and skilled in airway management should be assured (see WARNINGS ). For deeply sedated pediatric patients, a dedicated individual, other than the practitioner performing the procedure, should monitor the patient throughout the procedure

^^^Yea thats why it pissed me off when this guy gave what could be concieved as dangerous advice by saying

I don't think Versed/midazolam, or any bezno in and of itself causes much respiratory depression.

This stuff is not to fuck around with if you dont know what your talking about, like this guy.

When I had a nasal bone fracture and septal repair I got to experience this wonderful drug in combination with Fentanyl. The plunger went down on the Versed and then the Fentanyl. At first nothing and then I...........

thats poetry... fucking poetry

(about midazolam, i can tell the dont seem to be avaliable in any other form than IV liquid at most places. i live in scandinavia and here is no pill around)

I had a colonoscopy last year, before which I was given an IV cocktail of Versed and Fentanyl. As has been said, it was beautiful.
Best of all, I have a family history of colon cancer, which necessitates regular colonoscopies, so I can look forward to getting that delicious shot every couple of years for the rest of my life! =D

lol, i was right there too, seems like i hold my doctor in high regard from that iv

Is there a safe and readily available solvent that dormicum pills could be dissolved into to create an injectable solution of midazolam?

I just read a trip report about midazolam orally with alcohol, stating that it has very potent amnesic effects and is quite euphoric. The author stated that in his opinion 7.5mg was comparable to 3mg of flunitrazepam, or 6mg of alprazolam.

Obviously this interests me greatly. If the process of creating an injectable solution would be too much effort, or injecting such a solution would pose significant risk, then I wouldn't bother.

Sounds good though. No doubt about it. Even taken orally it would probably be worth it, especially if taken in combination with the likes of alcohol.

Lab grade ethanol, strong grain alcohol (200 proof) works in preparing shots from the 7.5 and 15mg tablets. But still, your shooting a pill. I have done it and it works, but the ampules are stronger. I used to keep some in case i had a seziure, but i used it in the seziure i recently had (along with diazepam ampules). But its one of the few benzos that actually made me feel high. And it had a decent rush when taking sub-anesethetic doses. Injecting it is dangerous though, read the rxlist warning on it. If you micron filtered it you may wind up something that is pretty safe. But the pills are small. Propylene glycol is probably better to use, better than lab/food grade alcohol. Using them both works. Becareful when bangin versed, its the only benzo where it can wind up killing people (even in therapeautic doses). Read that warning. But yes, it is fun (definately best IV benzo). Its not that great orally. I prefer halcion when taking benzos orally.

this must be one of those " gotta iv it " types of situations. i was given an ampule of versed by a friend once. we didnt know what to do with it so we treated it like ketamine, meaning we evaporated it and snorted the powder. i was not really impressed. i wish i knew then what i know now....

If you evaporate the liquid then you will be left with a powder that can be eaten. :(

I've never seen everclear available anywhere in the UK. It would be possible to get pure alcohol by evaporating the water from something such as vodka, wouldn't it?

I've tried to shoot diazepam pills by dissolving in alcohol (stupid things done while drunk.) and I would say that I felt something.

Perhaps this wouldn't be worth shooting. But it still sounds like a worthwhile benzo, even if I just ate it. I'd most likely combine it with some alcohol, 'cause that usually creates a nice feeling. I don't know if it could be called "euphoric" though...
