Has anyone had success with this medication for depression and anxiety?

What are some side effects you had?

My doctor has had me on it for over 1 month (taking two 37.5mg tablets/day) and I haven't experienced any symptom relief yet.

Any feedback is appreciated. :)

Go to your doctor and tell him it makes you nauseas and have cotton mouth, he'll switch you to a different one. If it was going to work, you would know by now. Effexor and any SSRI is total shyyyyyte.

I became suicidal on Effexor. My doc switched me to viibryd and I feel significantly better.

Effexor is a snri whereas viibryd is an ssri. Apparently snri's aren't good for me personally but others have had positive results.

Honestly these are a very hit or miss class of drugs, they do work you just have to find which one works for you.Im on effexor for social anxiety it works FOR ME with no ill effects luckily but it seems i am a rarity as almost every other post ive seen about effexor has been a negative experience. Its really a process of trial and error, but i see why some people dont want to go through the process with side effects like suicidal thoughts and such, and i dont blame them.

I used to take 150mg in extended release form / day. I felt no difference in my mood but I definitely had common problems SNRIs and other NARIs cause, e.g. problems with urinating. One of the most overrated medicine in the whole world, really.
