Trying to find out if this is a vein.. A friend might have checked and registered it but was afraid to push. Please let me know if I can tell him it's safe. Where the qtip is pointing on top of arm

We don't do 'quick answers' here'. I don't think anyone would be willing to tell you for sure. The best way to find out is to try and if you register and a little blood comes in you are good to go. Make sure the blood is not bright red and foamy and pushing back on the plunger. Cause you've hit an artery. If this is the case pull out and apply pressure for at least 20-30 mins. I'd also suggest checking out a vein map.

I myself have a vein in that exact area. Not sayin its the same for you, but I've hit that spot with no issues before.

This is a silly question. It's your body man... if you can't tell where your own veins are, you have no business doing IV drugs.

There are many veins in that area.. there are also arteries, nerves, etc. That is why we register before injecting.

I'm closing this because no matter what anyone tells you, the only way you're going to know if you're in a vein is to register and be able to inject without any pain.
