I'd say the walls of the vein aren't really stronger, it's just the fact you shot up many in that spot and that's why it now has a bigger diameter and so it's more visible. The same thing happened to me in the same spot on my left arm. The vein is even more visible than it was before I started to shoot up but it took some time for it to recover like that. It was the easiest vein to hit even when it got deeper when I was on a long taking spree. It's been October 2009 since I didn't touch that place (not counting blood tests I have to take every 2 months because of hypothyroidism). And a couple of times I've shot up recently I injected into veins in my inner and outer forearm.
