After hearing reports glowing and otherwise about JWH compounds, I decided to try some "herbal spice" compounds for myself. Due to concerns about the quality and consistency of some of the big name suppliers, I decided to go with smaller manufacturers - the ones who sell on various auction sites and other venues which shall remain unnamed to comply with BL anti-Sourcing rules. My thinking was that a cottage incense maker was more likely to use standard JWH-xxx in production, rather than throwing in new and unusual chemicals.

So far I've noticed that most of the "herbal incense" I've purchased has a similar effect. The high is very like marijuana but I find that for me a small dose is much more stimulating. It suppresses rather than encourages my appetite and wakes me up like I've had a nice dose of ephedrine, without any of the jitters. (More than a few hits, though, and it can quickly lead to couch lock). And while the bioassay resembles a sativa more than an indica smoke, it is also a pretty effective analgesic: it does wonders for headaches and body aches).

The main difference I have seen in cottage industry spice has been in the flavor. Some makers use harsher blends and artificial flavorings, while others use chamomile, sage, lavender and other pleasant-tasting blends to provide a natural smoking experience. They are all approximately the same potency - I would guess 2% to 2.5% JWH compound to smoking blend.

I haven't smoked enough to get the screaming panic attacks described by a few people who have vaped pure JWH-018. Given that I've never smoked more than a few bowls at one sitting, I doubt that I've ever consumed more than 10-20mg of JWH-xxx at a time. I have no doubt that this stuff could throw you for a loop if you over-indulged, given its potency. But in moderation it is a very nice substitute for cannabis and far cheaper: an ounce of pretty good spice, which is roughly as potent as middies, goes for about half the price.

Given this, I haven't felt any need to make my own herbal smoke blends just yet. If I can have a worthwhile smoke for a couple dollars a day, why complicate my life to make my own?

I will update this with any new developments but for right now I am quite impressed with the JWH family - especially since you can still, at present, pass drug tests after smoking it. It's a good, reasonably priced substitute for marijuana which seems to have few side effects if used in moderation.

Totally, but really, I would be careful. These artificial 'cannaboids' can be very dangerous (I read a New York Times article, haha). What I recommend, is try out some alternative herbs if you're interested in a legal alternative to cannabis. Lion's Tail, Sage, Skullcap, do some research if you're interested. Although they might be much different, weaker, perhaps more expensive, really they are much safer in my opinion.

hello, i think your right it can be dangerous for anyone because everyone has a diff body chem. but if your ok the first time i think you said it, moderation is the key. well i reccomend mr-nice-guy.com thats where your going to get some real high quality stuff. personaly i wont smoke anything else cause nothing else is really worth it. but make sure you dont try the immitation and be dissapointed the dank one is in the red bag. =] hope i could help.
