Lets face it

I like getting high
I also like free running a lot (parkour, flips that kinda stuff)

recently ive been toking it up a lot and ive noticed that i cant run for as long and my general fitness is going down

would taking hits through a vaporizer allow me to be fit and a stoner? or should i just start drinking haha

As long as you're not getting high before jumping up walls, it should at least help tremendously compared to smoking. Alcohol doesn't really affect your lungs so much, but it does flush nutrients and otherwise make it a bit harder to maintain and gain muscle mass.

For athletic types, vape is definitely the best way to go. Eating second. I'm sure cannabis will always have some sort of effect on your metabolism, but it's not really that much of an issue, since you seem to do this out of enjoyment and not to get into the Olympics.

^Can you elaborate? I smoked daily for 11 years and had to stop because I developed severe asthma which went away when i stopped toking. I was finally able to run again and feel great after 20 years abstinence from smoking. If I were to use a vapourizer and restart toking, do you think my asthma would come back? This is the only thing holding me back because MJ is IMO the most amazing drug for getting completely ripped (and I've tried them all).

I am not sure how a vap would affect you, but in my experience, vapour does nothing to my lungs.

I too have asthma, do not smoke cigarettes and smoke marijuana rarely. i can usually only take very tiny tokes if i somke, but if i use a vap, i can empty my lungs and fill them with vapour. no coughing, no throat or chest pain, nothing. just goodies.

But my asthma is not very severe. Hope that helps.

That helped immensely. To hear a testimonial like that from a fellow asthma sufferer is invaluable. Thanks!

a girl i dated for several years struggled with severe asthma while a cigarette/marijuana smoker. then she quit cigarettes and we got a vaporizer . . she smoked with me multiple times daily using the vape and never had any asthma-related problems as a result.

and as for marijuana and exercise, it's my favorite thing in the world.

^That's just amazing! If vaporizers existed 20 years ago, i never would have quit weed and become an opiate addict. Thanks alot!

If you think about it, vaporizing herb doesn't put the carcinogens (which I am guessing what bothers asthma, allergies, and overall health -including your lungs) like burning shit does.

Just start baking cookies and brownies... I wouldn't risk smoking it, but baked goods would definitely have no effect on your lungs.

exercise first, save the weed for afterwards ;)
and no, vaporizer does not help you to be more fit but it makes your high different than smoking joints.

By ripped, I'm assuming you don't mean like buff... ... ... do you?

Is there something I'm missing about MJ and exercise? What's the deal?

If you work out high, you are not a serious athlete. There is nothing more to it.

However with a vaporizer you can definitely work out hard and get high in the evening with minimal problems. Please remember that cannabis disrupts sleep cycles so you will never be performing at your peak if you use regularly.

IDK man, Michael Phelps smokes bongs :)

you're into parkour? i see parkour stuff on TV and on YouTube and it so sick. Unfortunately the are i live in down really have a good area for the sport but i would LOVE to learn to do stuff like that.
If your really into it you should definitely not be smoking papers or anything unnecessary, Definitely use the vape because it takes out most of the carcinogens

Props for the parkour man i dont know HOW you guys do that stuff, its sick

Let's face it...

vaporizing is just another gimmick that you are being sold. It's no healthier than smoking. People are always going to come up with something to sell you.

Bullshit. I've trained in martial arts for the passed five years, and I weight lifted competitively for 2. I got 3rd place in an adult brazilian jiu-jitsu tournament when I was 17, and went 25-4 (w/l) boxing. So.. pretty much now that I am back in a state that requires certification, I can pick it up and be classified as "professional" in MMA.

Sorry, that is not true at all. First and foremost, vaporizing doesn't release carcinogens that burning does. Also, vaporizing doesn't create CO2 or CO, as it is not a combustion reaction.
