There has been a very extensive study done by a Dr. Melanie Dreher, just google her name, the study is official. But anyway, she found, while working in Jamaica, that there is no toxic effect on a fetus from marijuana exposure. In fact, the babies were found to be more secure and 5 years later were years ahead of their non-exposed peers. Those are facts in a very well recognized, unbiased study. THE only study ever formally done with controls and NOT government funded. Smoking or vaporizing ANYTHING is not the best choice while pregnant for the obvious lack of oxygen to the baby problem. But eating bud is a better option, in light to moderate use, I think it is fine. That being said, I am pregnant and choose to not partake during...not because I feel it would cause harm to my baby, just because I prefer not too.
Thanks luckygirl. I know Jamaicans find it acceptable to smoke while pregnant or smoke with/around children. I forgot there was a long term study...
