A good vaporizer will take all of the THC out of bud. Either that, or the guy behind the counter lied when he sold me mine.

Anyways, vaporizers are tricky... the frist time (even first few times) you will say to yourself "I got ripped off!!"

But patience is a virtue, and after a few days of vaporizing you will find it to be not only healthier, easier, less smelly, and more conservative... but it will blow your socks off with potency.

I bought one for 120, absolutely no complaints. Sure, the volcano is nice if you can afford it, but I'm more than pleased with my little box vape.

Burning cannabis wastes anywhere from 40-80% of the THC, whereas vaporizing wastes 5-15% (thats what i have read, forgot where but sounds about right). I have found that i vaporize basically half of what i would normally smoke in one session, sometimes even less... .2g in a bowl gives me 5 nice vape rips that puts me in a good place, the same that a half gram joint would... and its a much cleaner high.

PEPPERMINT FEAR - the 120 one you bought, was the the vaporwarez.com one? I have that and love it!
 
My vaporizer has a little digital readout, it's in a wooden box... uses a tube. It's nothing special, but it does the trick more than well! I think it's by digi-vape or digi-burn, something like that.

it has a digital temp gauge? damn that is awesome, mine is the same shape as yours but doesn't have that, mine was $100....

anyone heard of the ubie?

I went to some smoke shops around town and they've never heard of a vaporizer that works like that.

what do you guys think?

The ubie ... a Cheapo vaporizer.

There are several brands of this type of vaporizer.

The problem with these guys is: the Heating source.
Marijuana vaporizes at about 300 degrees.
Marijuana burns around 500 degrees.
A Lighter burns at 1,100 degrees.

So, the trick is, warming-up the Pot enough to vaporize it (but, without burning it).
With practice, a person CAN vaporize Pot properly.

I played around with one a few times, but I didn't get the knack of it.
But, heck, it's pretty cheap. Go for it ... it might work well for you.

The Good news.
Even if the Pot burns a little, there is NO smoke in the room.
All of the vaps and/or smoke will pour out of the mouthpiece.
So, this guy works well at NOT smelling-up the room.

And, so what if you (also) get some smoke? It will be a lot less smoke than a Joint.
 
you get what you pay for in this instance.. . ..

I own what is simply a soldering iron in a short black PVC tube with a square base.It comes with a small glass dome and a 2' piece of plastic tubing you have to SUCK ON.

The problem with these cheap -80$-US vapo's is that they have no temp control.This one works OK but it has a taste that I can only compare to vomit or maybe the smell of something dead, but it's not pleasant.It has a switch and once it warms up , it takes a minute or so, you have to suck on the tube and you see the vapor, but I have never not gotten a burned taste.

The bottom line is , some swear buy these cheap ones. The first one I had I loved. . .used it till I burned it out, but when I got another one it sucked. I think this cheap one, which by the way is of course a soldering iron as I previously stated, with a nail in the hole where the soldering arms( or whatever the fuck they are called, it's late. . .) usually go. You remove the nail, get a bowl, like the ones they machine out by the millions , stick the nail through the bowl and into the iron and tighten the set-screw. Add the glass dome and you have a weed burner.

Buyer beware, you really do get what you pay for it seems. I don't have 600 or even 180 to spend on a smoking device. I am having breathing problems at 30 so maybe I will get a volcano when I can.

The reason there are leftover actives in the lightbulb vaporizer is because it is not completley effective in extracting all of them, like the volcano is. I have tried smoking/cooking volcano remains and found no effects.

digital read out? damm!

I've tried the bags from the grocery store like the manual said for the volcano. Each one i tried sucked ass. I tried to buy them off the net (same ones that come with it) and had no luck. So last June when I was back in amsterdam, I visited the Old Man head shop. Bought 12 boxes of bags. I have enough bags to last me a while now. The bags that come with it are perfect.
 
^^ I've had luck with cheap oven bags I can find at nearly every grocery store and I've had friends that even used trash bags!

Yes, I'm in the US. I have used 2 or 3 different grocery bought oven bags. The one that comes to mind first is Reynold's Oven Bags. They have those at most grocery stores I have been to....just get the biggest size they have. These aren't like the oven bags that come with a Volcano where you can make them as small or as big as you'd like, they just come in one size. However the largest of the Reynold's bags works great for 5 or 6 hits!

I love my Vapor Brothers!!!

Digital readout... haha forget it, I'm just tryin to get high on ganja, I don't need to spend half a G for a device to do that. Some kid owed me some cash a couple years ago and I scored his Vapor Brothers to pay off his debt, haven't looked back.

I use it nightly. It takes about 0.1 grams of herb to get extremely ripped to the point that I consider it tripping and I've seriously considered writing a very long and detailed trip report about the vaporized ganja experience.

Yes, its more of a body high. But just as much more of a mindfuck too! You just get a lot more fucked up overall. You get quite a rush from it too.

It'll pay for itself by the time you go through less than an ounce of ganja because you'll find it took you at least 4x as long to "smoke" all that pot... and you got even higher from it!!

You can even stick leaves and scwhagg nuggets in there and they get you ripped anyway, its amazing.

I have no problem adjusting the temp just right. Yeah it took a little practice but you'd have to be retarded not to be able to handle the analog temp gauge.
 
I find it somewhat annoying that whenever I bring it to my friends house, they insist on turning up the temperature to "get higher" when I'm sitting there telling them that it's just a lot smarter to set it at the perfect temperature! They think that if they can't feel it, then they aren't getting high..

It's also funny when I let first-timers use it, they're almost always horrified that it might be too intense of an experience or that the vaporizer might kill them somehow. It surprises me that a kid who smokes as much as I do could be fearful of any form of weed, especially one that I'm telling them will simply be a better, happier, tastier, cleaner experience... some people, ya know?

HAHAHA this happened to me last night. Brought my volcano over a friends house.. we were using it for about 20 minutes, then a friend that never used it before turned it all the way to 10 (the max) and said I want to get really high.. had to give him a little education on it.. after a while of getting blazed.. he jumps on a website and orders it. Another vapo convert
