If you take too many vallies over the weekend, constantly all weekend but not huge amounts just one now and again, whats the first signs of minor w/d or whatever? Does it kick in a few days later? i felt a bit "off" last week, waking up in bed with restless legs, didnt feel right for a few days, a bit empty and edgy, not sure if it was related to that or not, ive experienced something similar with etiz as well but worse and with less

How long you been using diazepam every weekend? What doses, how many of these doses and how far apart?

If you are going to have withdrawal from your use (which isn't a definite because you only use on weekends) it will start in the 48-72 hour time period. Its a long acting benzo so it should take a few days before you feel w/d. Also with the way you are taking it (just wkends) you might not notice w/d until around the time you are expecting to take it again following your last use(i.e. the weekend following one you were using the diazepam as usual).

BTW, half life is not 200 hours, wiki lists the main active metabolite has a top end half life of 200 hours(36-200), the diazepam itself has half life of 20-100 hours. Plus, half life isn't the determining factor in when the w/d starts, it can be misleading, I mean if you take 50 mg of diazepam you don't feel like you are still on 25 mg in 20 hours, it typically take 5-6 hours to get to that point.

I would say if you don't take valium that much given the long half life of the drug u wont even notice any wd

Sry for bad english, im using google translate.
rtrain, do you have any cover (research) on this phenomenon?
If you take bromazepam, which has a half-life of 8-10 hours every weekends, the next 4 months, does that mean that I feel the symptoms of withdrawal when i stop using it ?

Sorry I meant to follow that statement up by saying that the w/d in that situation would be more likely mental. If you can go Mon-Fri without using diazepam and have no w/d issues, then on the weekend you get some, I would guess its more its in your head.

As for it being a "phenomenon", that is a reach. Its pretty common for a person to start feeling w/d when their body is conditioned to expect the next dose of a drug. Like a person who takes 50 mg of diazepam every morning for a year. They will probably start feeling w/d the first day they do not take any. A person who takes the same dose every 2 days will probably start feeling withdrawal 2 days after a dose, the day when the body became conditioned to take its next dose. I know many opiate users and it seems to be true for them. Myself, I wake up and get high and dose around 5-6 times throughout the day. I am sick the second I wake up, my body is expecting a dose. I know people who only use once every 2-3 days, but they go hard and get blasted when they do, doing around 50-100% of my daily use in a few hours. These people typically don't have any issues for a few days and then the sickness starts for them.

If you took a short acting benzo for 4 months only on weekends I doubt there would be any physical withdrawal, I don't see what your point is there.

BTW I am not doing research to answer this guys question, anyone on here should know to take the suggestions, opinions and info they get with a grain of salt. Its not like this is my term paper on biochem so I am sorry for not backing up the statement with solid evidence.

Maybe it wasnt the valium triggering it. im not sure. sometimes i wake up with my mind racing, feeling a bit manic, that must be the rebound off something. i drink and take stims as well (weekends only)

i think stims and alchol are your answer for anxiety and not feeling great. valium literally has a 200hr half life, so you take enough it lasts damn near forever getting it excreted from your system. a guy i know on here was taking it daily for a long time and tested pos for it like 3 months later or some crazy shit. so i think you are ok.

I used to take 20-30mg of Valium everyweekend for a month straight and sometimes during the week to help me sleep or if I wanted to take a drink(but I'd usually take only one). After that month I didn't notice any kind of w/d. If there was then it's very mild. I also finished 50 0.5mg of Xanax in 5 days(vacation with friends) and didn't notice any mild or moderate forms of w/d(which I didn't think will happen anyway. The only real down part of these benzos for me is the moderate-severe depression I've gotten from them the day after and a couple days after I've taken them. You should be fine once you don't become an addict.

I usually feel them for a few days. a few saturday night/sunday morning n ill feel it all day monday, a bit of tuesday etc

yeah after dosing valium the effects linger for about 3 days. Im just more apathetic and less caring until its out of my system. It feels like it dampens my soul. The short term effects are nice for me though, like alcohol without the body load.
