Valium vs. Xanax: Your Pick.

I am not very familiar with Xanax, but I've done a fair amount of Valium. Here's my question: If you were able to buy Valium for $5, or Xanax for $8, which would be the better deal?
I think the valium is 5mg (they're blue) and the Xanax is a yellow bar that I believe is 8mg. Sorry I can't be more specific.

OK, to the best of my knowledge, there is no "8mg yellow xanax bar."

Oops! I think you're right about the Xanax dosage.
One of the unfortunate truths about gay party culture is that we tend to pay more for drugs. It's because the gay party scene tends to be older and wealthier than say the raver community. Thus, the dealers can charge more. I'm below both the median age and income level.
I need to hang out with more ravers. I'm continually shocked by how little some of these party kids pay for drugs. The only good thing is that my sources tend to have good quality drugs, a wide selection, and are reliable.

IMHO both drugs aren't worth a shit for recreation, unless passing out and not remembering anything is your good idea of a good time.
The prices are a bit high.. but its kind of like $7 for a hit of acid, Its high but... who cares it's still cheep as hell.
back to the topic. I think the Xanax would be a better deal. A xanax bar would be about twice as potent as a valuim blueberry.
but save them for the comedown of a acid, MDMA, foxy, etc.. trip.. they allow you to get good sleep and save the whole next day.

shit, i pay 65 CENTS/tab for 10 mg VALIUM..that is if i buy 1000 tabs, which i did..i kinda regret it now, cuz i have found out that all VALIUM really does is make me really LAID BACK and DROWSY..like said above, there is NOT much REC VALUE to XANAX or VALIUM..they are sedatives for the most part..i would NOT take them and go to a party, unless i have a very ANXIOUS/NERVOUS personality..
if i were to pick from XANAX and VALIUM, id go with the XANAX...XANAX has more "kick" to it and doesnt have near as long a half life as VALIUM...with VALIUM, you will more than likely feel GROGGY the next day, and thats not a good thing when its 5 PM and u feel like taking a NAP..

Let's try to keep this one from becoming a cock size contest.
I've paid as much as 8$ for a Xanax Bar and as much as 4$ for a Roche 10mg Valium.

Though the highs are similar, my preference would depend on the situation.
I actually prefer Valium over Xanax *for recreation*. Simply because I can stay awake easier on Valium. With Xanax, I get high, I get tired, I sleep.
I can really relax and enjoy myself a long while on Valium without passing out.
Now if I am having trouble sleeping, having a genuine panic attack, or just hate life in general on any given day, Xanax is for me.

As far as prices go, those seem a little steep, I'm not sure I'd pay that much for either, but it's your call.
As far as quality, I've always thought valium was far more fun than xanax, it just feels nicer. But that's just me, many will disagree.

Valium is like a trip to lala land.
Xanax is just amnesia.
If you do end up taking either of them, do NOT drink alcohol with them, at least not until you've done them a few times. It will greatly intensify the effects and will often make you black out. One of my friends ended up doing so the other day and passed out while walking onto a patio and ended up falling back and hitting her head first on a table and then concrete.
I don't know why you'd want to mix them and get those kind of effects... but whatever floats your boat.
Anyways, as others have said, benzos are not party drugs. Most people who take them recreationally use them alone or in small gatherings at houses. Otherwise they're just used to go to sleep if you've taken something like coke/meth/ice/e or whatever earlier in the night and are still wired.

Thanks for the warnings. I know mxing depressants should be done with caution if at all. I'm not really using these recreationally. Maybe every once in while I'd just pop one just for the hell of it. But, mostly, they are for coming down from a weekend of meth, x, and assorted other goodies. I'll propbably buy mostly the valium as you folk seem to favor it for coming down and its' always worked for me. I'll get a few of the xanax too. I'd like to see what this xanax = amnesia thing is all about. Thanks.

I can have 2mg xanax or 10mg blue valiums for 50 cents each in quantitys of 200 and it gets cheaper from there.I was unimpressed with xanax.I don't like em or see why they are popular,I like valium as something to take when I'm stressed by work or when coming down from amphetamines of any kind.
