Valium - party

Hi,
I am going to a party in 2 hours
Would you recommend 10mg of Valium or an I going to fell asleep?

personally i wouldnt take a benzo before a party. benzo's also don't produce any euphoric effects for me, so it depends on if it's your thing or not.

as the above poster said benzos arent really good for partys unless you have anxiety and then it can help in low doses.

i'd say take 5mg valium and start there if you need it

and if not still start low. i guess valium is nice and more subtly then xanax and some other benzos but if you dont have much of a tolerance it will still be similar if you take more then you need

Yes, take 5mg and see. If three hours after taking it you want more, you can. But if you take 10mg and you're too sedated, there's nothing you can do to reverse the feeling.

don't forget if you do take any benzo it will exponentially increase the efffects of alcohol...

I disagree with taking 5mg. 10mg is the pretty much standard dose for someone looking to get good effects from diazepam, like recommending 05. - 1mg for alprazolam, etc.

I wouldn't mix with alcohol on your first time, but if you do for some reason, be very careful and drink slowly.

Be careful if you plan on drinking alcohol. Taking both of them together greatly potentiates the two.

^seriously. I remember giving my cousin 2mg of clonazepam a few years back and he totally flipped then blacked out. That was a "single pill" for me.
